Description
One of summer’s signature looks.
- Soft, breathable cotton
- Full lining
- Back vent
- Two inside pockets
- Tailored Fit: trim, for a cleaner look
- Two-button front
Pieced from authentically Indian-made madras cloth, the jacket is naturally cool and colorful. In addition to being one of the most colorful jackets you’ll ever wear, it has great texture, thanks to the stitching that pieces the swatches. 100% cotton (even the full body lining, for breathability; sleeves are silky 100% polyester for easy on/off). Two inside pockets, back vent. Machine wash. Imported.

Terrible Fit
I'm 25, weight 168 and am 6 ft. I always go for a tailored look. I would definitely consider myself a canvas customer. That being said, the jacket fits snug in every area BESIDES THE ARMPIT. The armhole is cut way to deep. Every time I lift my arms up the jacket comes with. Terribly uncomfortable. The lining is also cheap. Was expecting an acrylic lining, instead they have a chambray lining in the body and acrylic in the sleeve -- Looks cheap.
Was hoping this jacket would work, but it was far from that.

Great Looking Jacket, but Tailored Fit is Too Tight
I considered madras sport coats from several clothing companies- Jos Bank, Brooks Brothers, and Paul Fredrick. I chose the Lands End jacket because it was the best looking of the bunch.
Unfortunately, the tailored fit is cut too tight, so although I love the look of the jacket, I had to return it. I've purchased quite a few items from Lands End, and they've always fit perfectly - which is another reason I chose this jacket over similar jackets from other clothing stores.
I'm not sure what Lands End was thinking when they decided to offer this jacket only in a tailored fit, but it was a big mistake. If this jacket is ever offered in the same look in a traditional fit, I'd definitely buy it again.

Shame they didn't offer a traditional cut version
With a slim tailored cut, and a maximum size of 46, it's clear not all who wanted such a jacket from Lands' End (for years) were going to be pleased with this offering. Hopefully enough found one of the tailored fit sizes a good fit, and that will prompt Lands' End to bring it back next Summer....in their usual full range of sizes.
