The neck is the problem
The body is excellent. But the problems with the neck continue. It is poor quality, it loses it's shape quickly and no longer sits neatly on the neck. It looks even worse when one attempts to wear it under a blazer or sweater. Most importantly, my wife just doesn't want me to wear it. This is a great pity because it could be a product I wear continually....also because I purchased many over a short period. I've been a dedicated Lands' End customer for over twenty years (even after returning to Australia) and will continue so. But I'm annoyed that one of my favourite items of clothing is unacceptable.

Old LE Quality Lacking
I have been buying mocks from LE for many years in interlock and Supima. In the past year or so I have noticed a deterioration in the quality as the price has gone up. Most notably, the neck pills and loses its shape and no longer fits flush with my neck. Also the tails of the shirts are cut shorter and often pull out of my jeans or trousers. There has been a significant jump in price for most of LE's men's clothing in the past year. That coupled with declining quality will send customers like me to try other vendors such as Eddie Bauer and L.L. Bean.

Size is too big
I order this in a medium because my large one is too big for me.
I lost some weight and needed a smaller size.
My large measures 22 inch acress the cest area, so I expected the medium to be about 20 inched across.
Instead the medium I received is 23 inches across the chest.
So I sent it back and I ordered the small.
Have not receive the replacement yet.

This shirt has nice fabric and colors available.
This shirt is good quality, but the sizing is way big. The first time I ordered it ina 2X for my husband, and had to exchange it for a L.

Excellent shirt but watch for lint on darker colors
I'm very fond of the mock turtleneck design and Land's End gets it right. The material is thin enough to breathe, but not so thick as to feel like you're wearing a sweatshirt. The shirt works well under a button up shirt, or even flying solo. Only downside, though, are the dark colors are a magnet for dust / lint, so that's something to keep in mind in dusty environments.

Fabric is fantastic, Fit on the Tall-Medium is perfect. Is there room for shrinkage?
Ordered 3 of the same but in different colors. We love the Pima fabric, soft and not heavy. we're Floridians and like long sleeves and mock turtle shirts but prefer thinner fabric like this. Not bulky, good for layering.

This turtleneck is exactly as described. The material is soft and very comfortable. The fit was true to size.
