Just what my husband needed!
I have the women's version and love it so I decided to try one for my husband. His winter coat was an old and very heavy leather coat. This fit him perfectly! He is 6'3" and 330# so that isn't easy. He loves it also. Warm but light weight, and a cheerful red that matches our Element. A great coat for Michigan weather.

Great
Decided to lose weight and needed a warm coat to walk in. I wore it every day for at least two miles from October to March. It kept me warm and dry through the Michigan winter. Elastic cord at the waist allowed adjustment to the size. Looked good to begin with and still does. I ordered it snug so was able to add a sweater as the weather got cold and I got less fat.

Emergency Medical Technician son LOVES IT!!
My son is a 18 yr old college student and volunteer firefighter/EMT. I wanted to get him a new winter coat for his EMT calls. I stumbled across this NAVY coat a few weeks ago in Sears Land's End at 80% off!! My Sears rewards reduced the price even further!! What caught my eye was that it was not only a TRUE navy, but it was warm and waterproof with a hood!! An answer to a mom's prayer!! The cleaners sewed on his squad patches and it looks great!! My son told me what he loves most is that the coat is warm but it isn't bulky, allowing him to move quickly (without over heating him) with his patients as he climbs in and out of the amublance all hours of the night!! He said it also comes in handy when he has to walk across campus after his late night study groups. We had a mild snow storm today and he texted me thanking me again for the jacket because he is on call until 7 am. According to my son, he would've paid full price for this jacket. He loves it that much!! He's also received compliments from other EMT's members who plan on purchasing one as well.

Outstanding product, great value
I bought this coat for an Antarctic Expedition trip. I needed a waterproof jacket that I could layer for different temperatures and conditions. I wore it on every excursion. It was waterproof and windproof, comfortable, and warm. At the end of the trip, I threw it in the washer and dryer, and it is like new. No failures of any kind. I was and am totally happy with this parka. I was going to include a picture of my wife and I (she took the women's version of this coat) standing on the Antarctic Peninsula, but there does not seem to be a place to include pictures.

Beautiful color, very warm but.......
The largest problem I've had with LE coats lately is their odd fit. I found this with the newer ladies coats and it is evidently the case with mens as well. This coat fit very well in the shoulders and has good arm length but was much too large around the middle. Even the draw string couldn't close the gap without looking baggy. Otherwise, my significant other loves it. He says it is very warm without being bulky and is stylish. He decided that the large middle wasn't enough of an inconvenience to return it.
I've purchased LE coats in previous years but have only recently noticed this disproportionate sizing which makes it difficult to find a good fit. Please reconsider sizing as the quality of LE garments is otherwise wonderful.

Super Soft & Warm Coat
Purchased this coat for my teenage son in navy...it's hard to buy a coat for a teenager! He LOVES it! It's warm, looks good and is still nice looking without being trendy OR out of style. Dark navy is a good color, too. It's hard enough to get a teenage boy to wear a winter coat, but he loves to wear this one because he tells me it's so soft!

Very good!
My husband wanted a warm water resistant coat, that didn't have a lining that separated at the cuff when taking it off. Our winters in the Puget Sound area are mostly wet, cold, and windy. The Squall Parka is just what he wanted. I liked it so much, I got one for myself! I have very long arms, and it is long enough so my wrists are covered.

Great fit, water repellent
I bought this model because the LE insulated jacket was too warm riding on a bus or standing indoors. This version is water repellent and fits well. However I now have the opposite problem in that it does not do a good job of protecting against wind chill, especially in the back.
The velcro on the neck doesn't stay closed and as others have said is annoying and will wear out.
Overall this is a good choice but could be so much better.

Perfect for cold and bad weather
I ordered this parka as a Christmas present for my husband but ended up giving it to him the day after I received it in early November due to the the arrival of a Northeaster in our area that included rain, snow and sleet (sometimes all at once), and high winds. My husband was very pleased at how well the parka and the hood protected him from the elements and has been wearing it since. My husband is of average height and on the heavyset side so I ordered an XXL and the parka fits him very well. Which means its cut is very full (lucky for me). He and I are both very pleased with this purchase.
