Men's Squall® Glove Read all the reviews and was a bit hesitant, at first, about ordering this glove. I really don't understand the negative reviews. The gloves runs very close to true to size…if anything, they may be just a bit small; but just a bit, mind you. I always order XL in gloves and these fit great. Insulated gloves are always somewhat bulky when compared to uninsulated ones. Gloves are never as warm as mittens, so if you have chronically cold hands or you live/play in extremely cold climes, go for the mittens. Otherwise, on the Canadian prairie, I believe these gloves perform typically or better when compared to other name brand insulated gloves of similar design. The Squall Gloves are a perfect companion for the LE line of Squall winter outerwear. The palm side of the glove has a tactile, rubberized material for good grip and the outer thumb has a convenient nose wipe. The zippered compartment on the back of each glove is designed for a disposable hand warmer, if desired, or a perfect place for a credit card or even car keys. Five boats/A+ rating, as far as I am concerned! April 12, 2013
What a disappointment! I bought the ladies squall glove and I don't know what is wrong with my pair but my fingers FREEZE in them. I live in MA and wanted gloves to keep my hands warm and dry. Although they seem to keep them dry.....warm, no way! I have to pop my fingers out of the compartments and ball them up in the palm of the glove to try and get them to warm up! What kind of "squall" did Landsend test these in? I wouldn't give you 3 cents for them, wish I could return them. February 18, 2013
Needs a re-design I am rarely disappointed with Land's End products, but the only things I can say about these gloves is that they are very warm, and they match my Squall parka very nicely. Other than that, they were a waste of money. They are so puffy and overloaded with pockets, zippers, belts and buckles, that you can't use your hands for much more than holding a snow shovel. I cannot even put the key into the car's ignition with them. They are too bulky to pull the sleeves of the jacket down over them. They are so big, that you cannot even put them in the parka's pockets! Overall, I am very disappointed. February 3, 2013
Good first impression but a bit small Time will tell but as I've come to expect from Land's End, they appear to be well-made. According to the size chart I should have ordered medium. Knowing better, I ordered extra large and would exchange them for XXL if that were available. January 30, 2013
My son is pleased with these I bought these for my teenage son. He wears them for winter activities with the Boy Scouts, so he can be outside in them for hours. He says they fit well, are comfortable and keep his hands warm. He loves that there are pockest for handwarmers, although he has not needed to use them yet. January 7, 2013
Warm gloves! I normally wear XL women's gloves, but they are hard to find, so I got these gloves in a size M. They fit perfectly, except the fingers are a little short. They keep my hands very warm. They can be adjusted to tighten around the wrist and cuff, but you will need to have someone do it for you, because it must be done when the gloves are on. If you wear them tightened, you must loosen them to remove them and keep them loose to get them back on. So I have to adjust them every time I wear them if I want them to fit right. I am happy with the quality and warmth. January 5, 2013
Good warm gloves X-Large fit my husbands perfectly. He liked the warmth about them the most. January 5, 2013
Great functionality Fits true to size & functionality is great. January 3, 2013
feels good nice and warm December 26, 2012
Gloves are high quality These gloves have a zipper compartment on the back of the glove that can house one of those hand warmer packets. The gloves are fine in temps as low as 16 degrees chill factor. Like any gloves, my fingers did get cold and the hand warmer didn't reach to where my fingers are. Such is the nature of gloves. Mittens are more effective in cold temps. These are well built gloves and do not have to be used with a hand warmer. December 22, 2012
