Men's Short Sleeve Mockneck Rash Guard 4.6 5 34 34
Rash guard Living on the Jersey shore sun protection and warmth is our colder ocean water is important. I have had many of Lands ends rash guards. They wear well in ocean and pool water and look good on out of the water. My husband usually wears an XXL but has been trying to loose weight. He was delighted to return the XXL's for XL's September 15, 2012
Good for Surfing Bought for my son who uses it for surfing. He said it ran a bit loose but likes it for a rash guard. Rather than put in the washer I soaked in cold water which inadvertently released some dye. September 15, 2012
No sweat in this shirt! I have purchased several of these shirts for my husband. They are much nicer than wearing a t-shirt with swim trunks. They are very light weight and the material keeps him from sweating in the hot sun. Great for packing also! They wash up great. September 2, 2012
2nd one I have a cobalt colored one also and liked it so much I bought another. Works great around the pool. I don't like to use a lot of sunblock and this really helps to keep the sun off me while allowing me to swim, walk around, or do what ever I want. August 19, 2012
So far it is holding up... My son only likes Lands End rashguards. He goes to the pool several times a week and the rashguard usually lasts for the summer. The rashguard we purchased last summer only lasted about 6 weeks before it started to disintegrate. I rinse the shirt in cool water and mild soap, rinse again and then hang to dry. Despite this care, the shirt from last season didn't last. Lands End did replace it, but the replacement was disintegrating after 6 more weeks of summer use and about 6 more uses over the winter. The rashguard we purchased this year seems much more durable. The fabric is a bit different and the cut is a bit trimmer than last year, but not tight. These rashguards fit more like a tee shirt and are not the compression fit that so many other companies have. I think it will make it through the winter and perhaps get some use out of it next summer. August 18, 2012
The shirt was a perfect fit I gave this shirt to my son-in-law and it was exactly what he wanted. He has used it twice so far when swimming in the lake and it is great. August 18, 2012
good for sports, but it rides up in the water I bought two of these for my husband, in the bright green and blue colors. They worked well for him at the beach and kept him from getting a burn, but because it's not a snug fit, the shirt does ride up if you're floating in the water. So if you wore this for snorkeling, for example, you'd want to tuck it into your bathing suit. Otherwise you'd have a nasty burn on your lower back! He also wears them for playing tennis, because they keep him cooler and move better than a cotton shirt. He seems to prefer them for that, more so than the beach. August 13, 2012
Good for the pool, bad for the beach This top is great if you're if you're wearing it in the pool, or anywhere that's not sandy. Like the description says, it doesn't balloon in the water and is true to size. However, my husband wore his to swim in the ocean, and the fabric traps sand like crazy. It's not like he was rolling around in the sand, he just swam. I tried to shake it out, and then stretch out the fabric and brush off the sand, but there's still a lot remaining. There's so much sand in this shirt that I don't know what to do with it. I'm afraid to put it in my washer because I don't want all that sand going through the washer. To top it off, the bottom hem started unraveling after a handful of wears. Not impressed. August 12, 2012
Great sun protection I bought this for my husband to wear at the beach. He wore it several days and did not apply sunscreen beneath the shirt, with great results. He liked the fit and color (we got the orange). The only negative is that this material will retain sand, so it looks stained if you go to a beach with dark sand. I was able to get the sand out after several washings and stretching the shirt gently between cycles to shake out the sand. I had the same issue with my 3-year-old son's rash guards from Lands End and was able to get the sand out of his as well, it just took longer because of how much sand he managed to work into the material. Lands End recommends hand washing; I used a lingerie bag and just put it in the regular cycle, then hung them on a drying rack. Hand washing would be fine except I don't think it'll remove sand. I would definitely buy this again. August 5, 2012
The quality was great. Unfortunately, the shirt is not offered in a small. My son needed a men's small because the big kids sizes weren't large enough The shirt would have been great, but it wasn't offered in my son's size. I returned it because it was too large. My 10 year old son wears a men's small. The big kids' sizing wasn't large enough. August 5, 2012
