  • Rib-knit cuffs and bottom
  • Saddle sleeves fit nicely over a shirt
  • Full-fashioning ensures a better fit

When we set out to build a better Argyle sweater, we started with fine Merino wool, long prized for its lightweight warmth and amazing softness. We blended it with equal parts of combed cotton (for breathability) and nylon (for durability). Then we fully fashioned the sweater — knitting the components to size, then sewing them together — for a better fit. The result is a substantial sweater that's truly warm, soft on your skin, and stands up better to wear and tear — holds its shape, too, wearing after wearing. Jersey self-elbow patch. 50% Merino wool/25% cotton/25% nylon. Dry clean. Imported.

It also is a good looking sweater in my opinion; good, for example, for a quality casual restaurant on the high end and on the low end wear it with jeans to your kid's athletic event. I wanted to like this..... I needed an XL tall, but several indicated that this was running a little small. So to add length, and size, I ordered the XXL which looked like a huge box. Truly sizing was off. Product was okay, but not the greatest, so I returned. December 8, 2012

Warm but a little itchy. I like the look of this sweater and it is indeed warm, but like many wool/acrylic sweaters it is a little itchy if it touches the skin. I wear a long sleeve undershirt to make it more comfortable. Looks good, though. February 18, 2012
Classic sweater This sweater looks like a sweater I had in college in the 80's except then it seemed to come only in blue. This new version is a lot less less scratchy and probably costs half of what my parents paid in 1982 dollars (so the new one is an even greater value). This sweater was very uncomfortable. I wore a tee shirt with the sweater and it was still very uncomfortable. The wool penetrated the tee shirt and was very sticky. Comfort is important to me. January 8, 2012
