Not the old Land's End
Ordered two pair....one was just ok....fabric not "Crisp" as stated in the description but soft and limp. The second pair had a run in the fabric, was made from a very heavy and thick cotton and was also sewn badly (it was like they taken pants cut for a flat front and tried to make it pleated)...all in all I find that the current Land's End is very inconsistent in product quality from order to order. Good thing they stand behind everything.

Runs Small
It seems that lately Lands End pants are now running smaller than previously. I have not changed size, the clothes have. I might stop buying.

pants changed from the way they used to be made
The size of the legs is much smaller than it used to be. I have bought this same pant on more than one occation. Now they are no longer suitable for me. I guess someone decided to change them for what reason I don't know. I am no longer a Land's end customer.

Leg crease is on side seam instead of extension of pleats in the front of leg. Looks like women's style
Waist size is about an inch larger than prior model (need size 33 to equate to actual size 34.

Not the same slacks I bought here before
The description is the same but little else is. The fabric is lighter in weight and doesn't feel as smooth as what they used in the slacks I've bought here for years. They also changed the pockets. The chino used to extend into the pocket enough that the lining didn't show. Now the liner starts at the seam so it shows all the time. Sadly, the quality is not the same and definitely now what I expected from Lands' End. These. will be returned and NOT replaced.

Not the same.
For $50+ I would expect the same quality I have grown to expect from Land's End. Unfortunately I immediately noticed that these pants did not meet those expectations. This is the first time the comfort waist didn't work as well as I have come to expect. You can see the whites of the pockets with these pants because of the way the waist works. Just to clarify they are not to small, I have to really tighten my belt to keeps them up so if anything they may be a bit large.
I didn't realize that they were not no-iron so that is my fault but they come out of the dryer as a complete wrinkled mess. Much worse than any pant I have ever owned in the past, possibly including linen.
I have been considering returning them but I am a short guy and love the fact I can order inseams smaller than any other competitor allows.

First purchase of this material, slightly disappointed.
The fit and colors are as I had wished for.
The material was a bit of a disappointment. It was not described as slightly sueded, and its sharp crisp crease quickly disappeared; could not use it next day, with or without a blazer. It was however very comfortable for lounging and casual shopping, errands and so on. Still a good buy.

Disappointed
My husband has worn this brand/style/size of Lands End Pants for years. I ordered three pair before Christmas to replenish some that were worn. He tried them on and was very disappointed - they ran much smaller, and the fabric was not as heavy as ones we had bought in the past. Lands End was accomodating about taking them back.

Inconsistent quality
I ordered the pleated comfort-waist chinos for my husband in Oct. 2012 and they were great quality, fit, appearance and at a discounted price. Ordered another pair of same in Nov. and, when washed before the first wearing, they came out of the dryer with a puffy, wrinkled texture all over the entire pant. They are entirely unsuitable for wear. I must now "eat" a reshipment charge or drive 15 miles to Sears to return them. I could not find a consistently high rating on any similar pants on the website. Lands' End Management: I have been a customer for many years and have been through this with you before, when you've varied fabric quality or fit standards and lost my business until you returned to consistency again. If it's a matter of cost, I would rather pay a little more for a product than experience this disappointment and need to write a negative review. My husband still needs more chinos, but Lands' End has nothing acceptable to offer.
