Just Not What They Used to Be
I bought LE's chino style pants for three decades and was always more than satisfied with (even recommending) them until the last couple of years. Not long ago, LE decided to not only hike up their prices dramatically, but also to lower the quality of some of their products. These favorites of mine were one of the quality cuts. The fly closing tab has been replaced by a flemsy botton, and the fabric is of considerably less quality. I have started to buy my casual pants at another online retailer that, although aren't as good as LE's old style pants, they are a lot better than their "new and improved" versions.
It's obvious that LE wanted to be able to still offer the deep discounts needed to attract buyers in these recessionary times, and yet make the profit needed by their company. Well I for one am not "buying it". I want my chinos back.
Please don't let this policy affect any more of your products than it already has. If you need more money, raise the prices, don't lower the quality.

Never again
I have been buying Lands End clothing for over 30 years. The last pair of slacks I purchased 2 months ago are worn through on one back pocket and the seat ripped next to one rear pocket. These pants have been dry cleaned only and have been worn maybe twice a week for 2 months. I work in an office. The material is much thinner than the same pants purchased over three years ago, and has worn threadbare in some places. Since being bought by Sears, the quality of these pants is garbage. I will shop elsewhere.

Twill trousers have been changed from previous versions.
I have been buying Lands End pleated Twill trousers for many years. I recently purchesed two new pair and was a bit surprised by some significant changes.
The zipper tab has been enlarged, which was needed, but it was made too large;
Front flap now has a button instead of metal tab;
Added flap over right front pocket seems useless;
The 1-inch taken out of the seat does not work for me and they feel too tight in the seat.
Trousers are well constructed but fabric comes out of dryer with more wrinkles than previous versions.

Consistency?
I have long legs and have to order my pants to find the right fit. I've noticed over some time that the consistency and quality of fabric of your pants are starting to go down. The pants are fraying sooner and when I get pants I notice they are not always the same length even though I have them hemmed to the same length. I'm either going to start to have them hemmed on my own and cost me more money, or start looking for other places to get my pants from.

AN adequate product.
Overall, the product is slightly above average. Material is of decent quality and overall workmanship is good. The comfort fit waist is great for those of us that don't conform exactly to the "size standards." I would note that the overall fit is more "form fitting," then in the past, less generous in the seat and thighs, but much better then competing products. This maybe because of the change in men's fashion back towards more of a slim fit style. I am disappointed by the lack of a french fly. It would also be nice if they used the heavier twill materials of the past. All-in-all, it is an adequate product that I would recommend to others.

Not what they used to be
I first purchased these pants 2 years ago and my husband loved them so much that i ordered them in almost every color. Now, after 2 years, we purchased 2 more pairs to replace the khaki he wore all the time. I have to say we are both very disappointed with the pants. No parade button on these as they used to have. The stitching on the hem isn't nearly as neat and we can tell overall the quality has gone down. The fit is the same - and he really likes the comfort waist. But, we would really like the quality to come back!

Very disappointed!
I ordered three pair of these slacks. I sent them all back - material was a rough cotton; fly closure was a single button; not a proper slack closure at the waist. Fit nominally true-to-size, but was awkward - I am not a tailor, so I cannot accurately describe it. However, after wearing one of the new trousers one day, I could not wait to take them off and get into some comfortable slacks or jeans. I have ordered Land's End no-iron twill trousers before and they were satisfactory. Too bad that the company is going cheap - it does not pay in the long term.

Great casual pants
I purchased these pants for a gift; they are very soft, look very expensive, and fit wonderfully. They will not only look good for casual, but will also look great with a sport coat for dressier occasions. I love the way they launder!.. Another of Land's End's wonderful products for a fair price!

Disappointed for two reasons
I've ordered these same pants in the past and loved them so I was expecting the same fit and quality. I ordered three pair and they are all very small and tight from the knees, through the thighs, up to the hips and waits. It's like they took a size 38 and just added elastic an called it a 42. I've reordered a 44 just to see how those fit but I didn't get the same price. I hope the new ones fit better since I have a very difficult time finding clothes that fit.
