And, in a weight carefully selected for comfort any day, any season. The tailoring is thoroughly classic, with every detail you've come to expect from Lands' End®. In addition to the tailoring above, we build in an integrated French Fly to keep the front flat, extra lining at the crotch and fly for comfort and durability, side pockets (with a coin catch on your right) and button-through back pockets. 100% worsted wool. Dry clean. Imported.

Men's Plain Front Traditional Fit Year'rounder Dress Pants 3.7 5 120 120
Not nearly as nice as discontinued gabardine slacks I turned to these once LE stopped offering the gabardine dress slacks, which were a favorite. There is little favorable comparison between the 2 products, in my view. The fabric used on the gabardines was substantive, but high quality enough so that it ventilated well. This meant that even though the gabardines were heavier, one could wear them comfortably year round unless the weather exceeded 95 degree with heavy humidity. (And at that point, no one wants to wear dress clothes at all.) The drape on the gabardines was great, resisted wrinkles well (especially when packed in luggage for a business trip), and consistently resisted problems in high-stress areas like the knee, the crotch and the seat. I don't know what LE was thinking with these slacks, but they simply do not stand up at all. The fabric is ridiculously thin, and does not pass the office light test (i.e. can you see your hand when looking at a fluorescent office light through the fabric). The fabric also fails the crumple test (hold a pants leg in a fist for 10 seconds, then release to see if the fabric rejects wrinkles easily). This is particularly problematic because there is no reinforcement in the seat, which means I'm always afraid the fabric will merely rip in the seat after a while. Next, the merino wool on these pants doesn't reject wrinkles nearly as well as the gabardines did, either after a wear or when packed in luggage. Finally, the merino wool on these slacks simply does not feel as good as the wool used on the dearly departed gabardines. I was good for at least 4-5 pairs of gabardines per year. I have bought 3 pairs of these slacks, hoping they would end up a worthy successor. They haven't, and I need to shop elsewhere for wool, no-pleat dress slacks. May 5, 2013
Not even close to being the stated size I have been buying and enjoying Land's End Year Rounder pants for over a decade. My recent order was for 4 pairs in different colors. I am a 36Waist, tall, 36inseam. The waist is not even close to being a 36. The thighs are super-skinny. When I compare them to my other Land's End Year Rounders, these new pants are not even the same proportions. Something is obviously wrong with the current product. I highly recommend that you NOT order these pants until Land's End announces a fix for the problem. For now, I'm off to my second choice in clothiers. May 1, 2013
Solid weekday pants Nice pants. I like Lands End Year Rounders. 3 season pants, consistent fit. April 29, 2013
Quite Disappointed Quality of this item has diminished greatly over the years. Its difficult to understand how anyone could be pleased with the current fit and fabric. Each pair I've tried, in several colors and sizes, has varied greatly in quality and fit - none acceptable. From too tight everywhere to too loose in the waist and too tight in the legs, seat and thigh. Material is much too thin and coarse (not at all silky as described) and easily gets pulls in it. The stiff pocket material literally shows through these pants. LE Year'rounder Dress Pants have been a wardrobe staple for many years, I have several pair, purchased years ago, that still look and fit great. No more with the new version. Please bring back the reliable quality and traditional fit that your customers have been able to associate with the Lands End brand across your company's clothing line. Unfortunately, it seems its now time to find another shop to purchase serviceable dress clothing. April 27, 2013
Nice update to wardrobe. Stylish but not overly so I'm in my 40s and all my pants are about 10-15 years old, pleated and slightly longer than what's now in style. I wanted to update my look without appearing to be trying to look young/hip. These pants did the trick. They're slimmer than what I was wearing but not overly so. The hemming option is great as a 33 inseam is perfect for me and not carried in most stores. The fabric is somewhat thin but since they're marketed as a year-round pant I'm ok with that. Great fit; nice fabric. I was pleased with these pants: great fit, nice fabric and a reasonable price. Good overall value. April 22, 2013
very disappointed just ordered 3 of these pants like i have in the past compared them to those that i have on hand with the following observations 1.. the new pants ordered have fabric that is very thin-these are not year round pants 2. poorly manufactured 3. poor cut, my other 33 w pants fit nicely-these are too tight in the waist, feel like skinny jeans 4. fit very small 5. would give no stars if that choice was offered very disappointed, l end should reexamine the manufacturing of these pants will be returned shortly April 21, 2013
well made and comfortable I wear these pants for both dress and more casual occasions. The fit and quality is great and they are very comfortable. The cuff hemming was done correctly and professionally. April 15, 2013
Traditional fit -- really? These pants have changed! I have been a real fan of the Traditional Fit Year'rounder pants for a couple of years - whether pleated or flat front. The quality has been great and the fit great. I still have a couple flat front pants that I bought two years ago and still wear, which fit great. I just bought two pairs of these pants (same size and length) and tried them on. Wow, what happened? These pants are tight, the pockets sit strange, the fabric felt flimsier, and one of the clasps even stuck! I am of medium build and these pants fit like skinny jeans. I rechecked the packing list to make sure I ordered the right size and also I didn't order the Tailored Fit. Nope, this is the NEW Traditional Fit. I might have worn these kind of pants 10 years ago, but not for the business I am in today. Skinny dress pants for a guy in his 50s is just too weird. These pants are going back. I can see from other comments I am not the only one who has seen a change. Buyer beware! April 9, 2013
Lower quality than in the past Pants are o.k., but certainly lower quality than in the past. Strange fit. Pockets are narrow and very far forward---- strange. February 24, 2013
