Almost back to the original quality!
These pants are well made, adequate material weight and 100 times better than the lousy twills LE has been selling for the last few years. I used to buy only the 60/40 Twills - they were terrific! Wish they would bring them back too. They seemed to wear and look better than the 100% cotton. Guess I will have to go with these for now and hope for the blend in the future...

disappointed
The fabric is good. Just the cut is my concern, so 90s,
The pictue shows (I thought) it fits quite slim but it is quite large around thighs.

good value, good fit
I purchased two pair of these pants. The fabric and finish are impeccable. Details are typical of much more expensive pants. The cuffs are stitched to exactly the right inseam length, as I specified. I am pleased with the purchase.

Not the expected quality
I have been ordering dress slacks from Lands End for some 25-30 years. I ordered two pair in November 2012 and have been very disappointed in the quality. Not what I have received in the past. I ordered the exact same product number in two colors, but one fits different than the other. The material just seem courser than prior pants. They used to drape nicely and lose wrinkles. These keep the wrinkle and look like they need pressing after wearing only once after cleaning. Land's End used to offer a 60/40 blend that kept well, but no longer. Also, the soapstone fades after only a few cleanings. From a long time customer, this is not the same quality or fit as in the past.

Great slacks, but I need 37 waist!
It is great to see that they have gone back to the great design and quality these were in the past. I have bought numerous pairs in the past and they have served very well as my every-day slacks for work for several years. But I always bought the 37 waist which is not available now. I tried the 38 and the waist bunches up under a belt and looks bad. And the 36 are just a bit too tight. The availability of the odd-size waist is what led me to and has kept me with Lands End for lots of slacks, jeans, and shorts! I tried the Chinos which are still available in a 37, but they are not quite dressy enough for work.

Still no 35" waist size!
Land's End has attempted to bring back their old twills, but for some reason still can't give us a 35" waist size. Two inches between sizes is just plain stupid. And I don't want to wear the comfort twills and their extra thick waist band. I see other reviews that the fabric is of lesser quality. Geez, charge a few bucks more instead of sacrificing quality!! Where has the old Land's End gone?? At least they got rid of that ridiculous coin pocket on the front!

Disappointed
Not the heavy, beautiful fabric that they used to be, which was lovely to touch and draped like a dream. These are well-tailored but feel cheap and the shiny cotton looks like polyester. The weight is hardly better than a chino. Monogramming is unavailable? Really?
I am saddened. For decades the clothing from Land's End was the best I could buy anywhere at almost any price. Now it's little better than I can get at the local mall but much more expensive. At least they will still condescend to make clothing that fits me.
