I like them! I've worn khakis from other brands, including RL and Bill's, and I can tell you that the quality of these khakis from LE are quite good. Also, and this is a personal thing, but I think khakis should NOT be wrinkle free, they look far too smooth and artificial. I know they are advertised as such and some have complained, but happily they are not after a few washes. The intention of wearing khakis (or even jeans) ?especially with an oxford shirt or polo? is a clean, laid-back look. If you want wrinkle-free, go for dress slacks. Regarding the look, the traditional cut is full, and which I consider a "classic look". For the price, these are great for weekends and kicking around. Nice job LE. March 6, 2013
Not wrinkle free I ordered these because of the variety of waist sizes and lengths. The waist size and length were as ordered and the pants fit great. The reason for only 3 stars is that the pants are definitely not wrinkle free. When washed they come out of the dryer with as many wrinkles as regular cotton material. It is distressing that Lands End would advertise these as "no iron" when they are not. It's is confirmed by many other reviewers. The description should be changed so that the purchaser knows exactly what they are buying. October 28, 2012
Fabric is rough and less than what I've come to expect from Lands' End Pants look good and fit well, however even after washing, fabric is scratchy and uncomfortable. They are not nearly as nice as previous generation no iron chinos. May 8, 2013
Dress or casual I am pleased with these trousers, but thin the button at the fly and over closure could be improved. April 29, 2013
nice material, fit and wash/dry The khaki and light stone are typical weight and feel; the soapstone is slightly rougher and thicker feeling than the others. The no-cuff hemming was nicely done and correct on one and 1/4 inch long on the other - no problem. I'm 6'2", 163 lbs and pants are slightly full in seat, otherwise fit very well. I have a 35" waist and initially bought that size but it was too big. Checking the "item dimensions" in the More Info area shows the stated 35" waist to actually be 36. Reordered 34 and got the excellent fit noted. Took out of dryer about 1/2 way through on dial but almost dry to touch. Smoothed by hand and hangered immediately with essentially no wrinkles. Length shrank about 3/4", waist not significantly through 2 washes. Am going to order more today while the 25% off is in effect. Recommended! April 14, 2013
Wash before wearing first time I read some of the reviews about the no-iron fabric of these pants and was hesitant to purchase them for my husband, but they were the only pair that I could get in his size and color so we gave them a try. They were stiff when we got them, and after the first washing, they did come out of the washer VERY wrinkled. I put them in the dryer for less than 10 min. and then hung them on the clothesline. They were perfect - softer and no wrinkles. They are now coming out of the washer without wrinkles; I still dry them for a couple minutes and then hang them. No ironing needed, and they are holding the crease so far. We ordered 2 more pairs. March 9, 2013
Very happy but True Navy has been discontinued I have been buying these chinos for a number of years and have always been very happy with the quality. For some reason though the TRUE NAVY colour has been discontinued. Please bring back the true navy as soon as possible. February 26, 2013
material varies with each color I really liked the Lt. stone Chino no iron pants. Very soft and fit great. About a week latter I ordered the same pant but tru navy in color. The pants are very heavy and stiff compaired with the Lt. stone pair. I don't know what they did to them but I hate to wear them. They also wrinkle very easily too. February 8, 2013
not your standard Just received 3 pair--very poor---not wrinkle free-- feel like cardboard--I have been a LE customer for over 25 years--go back to the old pants- please! January 27, 2013
Good quality, good fit, pockets could be better They're a good quality pant and the fact that you can have them hemmed to fit is great. But the side pockets stick out a bit. Not enough that my husband wanted to return them but in my opinion they could be styled better. January 13, 2013
