Good construction
Well constructed pants. Waist is true to size. Tailor fit seems more so than in previous years, though it is still comfortable for me. Maybe more of a slim fit?

Sadly, returned them
Like some others, I also did not care for the slick, somewhat shiny fabric. I ordered these in 36" waist and ordered some jeans at the same time in 34" waist. These pants in 36" were tighter on me than the 34" jeans. I decided not to fight it and returned them for a refund.

Five Days a Week
My husband is the traditional model, meaning that I shop for his clothing, and he doesn't want to mess with coordinating things, but he needs to look professional. He wears Lands' End 100% cotton dress pants every single day he goes to work. I don't iron, which means that when I pull them out of the dryer, they need to look freshly pressed. He wears navy blue, some with cuffs and some with pleats, some plain like these. They have never let him down, and they last for years, far beyond the 50 promised washes. We buy about 3 pair at a time and then don't worry about it till he wears them out. They never bleed, don't stain, and I have never found a flaw in the stitching or the fabric, not even a long thread to clip off. Several years later, I'll pull a pair out of the dryer, faithful friends, and the fabric will finally come apart at the hem or (in pleated pants) at the pleat, and I will know it's time to go back and get some more. These are the most reliable product men can get in a cotton dress pant.

tailored but not tight
Great quality. Tailoring is fashionable without being tight or uncomfortable. Love the zipper with the larger, easy to use tab - how thoughtful to little details!

Used to be Great. What Happened?
I've been buying these pants for years - exactly the same size - and they have been perfect for years. Suddenly, they are way too small when I order the same size. The older pants (which are the same size) still fit perfect. I can tell by the tag that the pants were made in a different factory and obviously not by the same standards. I ended up returning them and ordering the next size up, but they fit poorly in the waist now a different way. Plus, the front pockets were cut so deep that items inside of them rest right above my knee! The look was so bad that I ended up returning those two pairs also.
It's a shame since these used to be really nice pants. The two pair I recently ordered had the small coin pocket on the front (which Lands End says is now gone) so maybe I was just sent a pair of the old style, Maybe I'll wait six months and try another pair to see if they have straightened out the mess. But for now, I'm passing on these altogether.

The color is not what I expected and the size is totally inaccurate.
The fit is terrible. I have other LE pants and my 35 measures 36 and my 36 measures exactly 36. So I ordered a 36 and it is big and baggy. I measured the waist and it is a 38. So I am confused on what size to order as this is true for the Year Rounders and the Twill pants that I have ordered. The quality is not what I have grown to expect in the other pants I have from LE. I did not wear either pair as each is way to large so I will be returning them very soon.

good fit and finish, sized properly to my "standard" dimensions
cut just right, inseam not too long, seat not too baggy, fits "normal" male; black is perfect for casual or more formal (sport coat, tie) wear

I ordered the Dress Twill Trousers in 35 waist for years. Now, that option is not available. Please bring it back. Thanks.

Great but runs small
My husband likes these pants very much. The fabric and features are great. BUT they run very small through the waist. He's a rather slender person who has worn the same Land's End size for a few years. For these pants he has needed to size up two inches. I will return and reorder.
