Minimalist Zipper: Interesting But not Functional
There were many things to like about this cargo short, but the zipper was not one of them. Let me start by saying that the material was nice with its soft feel and seemed to be durable. It was also true to size and fit perfectly. This could be a great short if one thing was addressed: the zipper.
It seems that the buyers were experimenting with the zipper aspect because it was oversized yet with minimalist approach. To me, it resembled a paperclip that had been bent, which leads me to my main concern. After only a month of normal use, the zipper actually did bend and begin to come loose. Perhaps I could have repaired it but I feel this should be done correctly from the start, especially since I was considering other colors. Maybe having a unique zipper makes it interesting and that's fine to do as long as it remains functional.
I have returned this item to Sears for credit, but hope this issue is addressed. Maybe others have yet to experience this problem. I have called Customer Service with my feedback as well.

Nice shorts
Nicely made, great color. Fabric is thick, and wears a bit "warm." Waist runs at least an inch big.

Just OK
I bought my husband two pairs because he loves cargo shorts for summer. These are a bit of a disappointment.
The front pockets are cut a bit high and the button hole finish is a bit shabby making them difficult to button. The Expedition Green color was a much smaller in the waist and rise than the Sisal and he refuses to wear them. As they are quite expensive for a short I feel the quality control should have been better as I can't return them from overseas.

Beat global warming
Global warming? Basic, longish, cargo shorts, decent looking, the cargo and rear pockets closed with snaps. Seven belt loops. Use cargo pockets for a mini-tablet or e-book reader or compact camera--something important that you'd carry in a coat pocket if you had to wear a coat. The crotch seems baggy when you're getting on a bicycle but may be better for overall cool and comfort.

Great pair of stylish cargo shorts!
These are a really nice pair of cargo shorts, not sloppy and baggy, but more a bit more tailored and structured in the fit. Like most Lands End products, they are well made. The 35" waist fit true to size. My husband likes the length and style, so I will be ordering another pair!

Probably good shorts.
Probably good shorts. But! Real Garment waist +2 "; fabric - not quite the same as on the website. This is not what I was paying. Not worth the money.
