My favorite sweatshirt
While the large fits big, I like that size in a sweatshirt, and it wasn't draping -- the shoulders weren't huge. It was just a comfortable fit. most large sweatshirts over time fit a little snug and shrink on the bottom. I haven't washed it yet. This great sweatshirt is soft inside. Great quality worksmanship and fabric. Unprompted, a female friend just fawned over it, she didn't know the brand or anything and said it was the best sweatshirt she saw. I got the navy and it runs true to color. I have to get a second one, gray or red. I had 25 percent off and applied a discount. And while I'm not made of money, for $40 it was definitely worth it. Plus it's made in USA.

Great sweatshirt, runs a little big
I'm a big fan of this sweatshirt, and would absolutely recommend it to anyone looking for a quality version of such a staple item. My only regret is that I waited until it was already starting to warm up before I bought it.
I would definitely recommend that you buy a size smaller than you normally would. I fortunately decided to size down after reading some of the reviews, and even then it's on the bigger side.

Good value for the money, fit is on the generous side.
For the price, particularly if purchased on sale, this is a nice sweatshirt. Well made, and U.S. manufacture is a bonus. Fit is of course very personal. I am 5'9" with an athletic build, the Medium fits ok, but it's a bit baggy and long at the waist. However the chest and sleeves are perfect. If you are looking for a tailored fit, this is not it. Like another reviewer mentioned, the first time laundering the sweatshirt left me with a large amount of lint in the lint trap of the dryer. This is diminishing with additional washings (fyi: cold/gentle, tumble dry low).

Major fabric flaws
I purchased a bunch of these for my husband, and was initially pleased by the weight of the fabric, and happy it is was made in the U.S.A. However, one of the gray shirts had a terrible lint problem upon washing. The lint int the dryer vent was unreal, and it was also all over everything else that was washed with it. That particular shirt is badly pilled now. It must have come from a different fabric lot. The other identical shirts are better, but they still have a lint issue, and I have to wash them separately from the rest of our laundry .

Made in the USA
I was very excited that Lands End was featuring clothing made in the United States. I ordered all the colors of the sweatshirts, sweatpants and t-shirts. However, I'm beginning to second guess the sweatshirts. I originally ordered the XXL and they fit more like talls rather than regulars. The worst seems to be the grey, which was so long it covered my rear end and I'm 6 foot. The other colors are almost as bad but don't seem to be quite as long. I re-ordered an XL in the grey and although still long, seemed a bit better than the XXL. The other frustrating thing is that Lands End doesn't seem to be able to keep any of the colors in stock in XL and XXL except grey.

Amazing Premium Sweatshirt - Made in USA too.
This sweatshirt is awesome. I just received it and I have to say I'm impressed. The quality is awesome and the material is perfect. It's a looped terry feel inside. This tells me it's going to wash up great!
LANDS' END keep making stuff in the USA.

Nice quality sweatshirt
Soft, good quality fabric is used in this shirt. Great fit. Underarm gussets make it one the most comfortable sweatshirts I've owned. I plan to order additional colors.

GO USA, love the color.
The material in this shirt is great. The fit is normal. I do wish the sleeves were a bit more generous, length is fine but they are a bit snug. Its been washed once with no change I was hoping it would shrink up a bit in length.

Great look and feel but fits too large
I love sweatshirts and this is a really good one. Soft material, perfect weight and pomegranate color is slightly faded for a nice look. However, it doesn't fit right which is the most important part. I checked all reviews in advance of ordering and knew it ran large. I'm 6' 190 lbs and usually wear a large. I ordered a medium which is just a bit too tight (I prefer sweatshirts to be a little loose). The sleeves are so long I have to fold the band up which doesn't look right. And it hangs way too long on my body. I think I'm going to send it back. I probably need a large-short which they don't sell. If I hold on to it hoping the length will shrink then the body will be too tight.

Very well made, warm sweatshirt
This sweatshirt is indeed not made from thick jersey-type material, but it is made from a very heavy, densely-woven material, so it's weight is still heavy and it's as warm as a thicker material. At first, I was disappointed at the thinner material, but now I really, really like the thinner, but denser material. It's warm without being bulky. Like the other Made in USA items, the fabrication seems excellent. Well worth the higher price. I have a feeling I'll be wearing this sweatshirt for many years. I'm 6' 2" 185-190 lbs with longish arms (35") and the Medium Tall fits me well.
