Men's Regular Long Sleeve Buttondown Solid Pinpoint Shirt

Item # 245195-AL8

$45.00

Description

All-cotton Pinpoint made from more than 12 miles of thread.

  • 80s two-ply cotton yarns
  • Classic buttondown collar has a soft roll built in
  • Mitered, split yoke allows extra give across the shoulders
  • Buttons made from the same resin used in bowling balls
  • Shirttail hem, single pocket

Ultra-smooth, 80s, two-ply, untreated cotton loves an iron, sure, but it’s breathable, too. Tailoring details include a mitered, split back yoke, box pleat and locker loop. His single-button cuffs are set atop sleeves with a single gauntlet button. And the buttondown collar has a soft roll, so it fits over a tie better. We even added a few extra buttons under the lower placket, should you need one (you likely won’t). Machine wash. Imported.

wrinkles ahoy-- Wow, you guys weren't kidding about how wrinkly and stiff this shirt is! I went ahead and took a chance on the shirt because my husband really needs a gray dress shirt for one of his suits, and I actually kind of like ironing so I thought it would be no big deal--but the sheer amount of ironing this shirt needs is too much, even for me. Also, even though I ordered his normal size (16.5 x 36 Tall), it is weirdly huge under the arms--so much so that the material is actually bunching up under the armholes of a sweater vest. I don't know if there's just too much material there, or if it's that the material is just too stiff to act like a dress shirt is supposed to. Whatever the case, it just looks sloppy and huge. I agree 100% with the review below that says the shirt is more like a chambray shirt than a dress shirt. I'm disappointed because it's hard to find Tall dress shirts in anything other than white or blue, but this simply doesn't fit or drape nicely enough to wear with a good suit (which is why I bought it in the first place), so it's going back. Collar does not iron well It appears there is too much material in the collar so that it will not iron cleanly. It looks wrinkled underneath the top layer of material in the collar. January 5, 2013
Too wrinkly I was disappointed because I have other Lands End white dress shirts. This one comes out of the dryer extremely wrinkled and I am sure it would wrinkle through a day's wear. I returned it. Another thing to note was the size tag is extremely long because they have decided to put about six different countries' sizes on one tag. That was annoying. Lands End seems to be changing their quality and I am not pleased. I have wrinkle free white dress shirts and now I can only find them in S, M, L etc instead of by sleeve and neck sizes. Please change it back. January 5, 2013
Fabric is coarse and clunky; looks rumpled My husband was a big fan of the old Land's End classic pinpoints that did not have a no-iron finish, so we were excited to see this shirt offered. We ordered one to test it out and were disappointed. The fabric is not smooth and silky like the old pinpoints, but rather is rough and coarse. It does not drape as well and is more prone to wrinkles and a rumpled look. The shirt is well-made, but the fabric is more like what you'd expect in a chambray work shirt than a dress shirt. It's very comfortable for me. I usually wear it for working time. I fell extremely smooth to wear. December 23, 2012
I love these shirts These are my go to shirts. A great looking shirt at a great value. Soft but luxurious cotton. Always irons nicely and returns from the shirt laundry looking crisp and fresh. I wear them every day and they last for years. December 14, 2012
Wrinkles after washing! My husband just bought 3 of these shirts for his business. After washing once, as directed, I was VERY shocked at how wrinkled they came out of the dryer. You HAVE TO iron to be able to wear them. I don't understand how you could not! We are very dissapointed in them. My husband travels a lot and he does not have the time to iron the shirts after getting to a hotel room! I guess we will try to see how the dry cleaners does with them if I get too tired of ironing them!! Don't advertise wrinkle-free if they are not! December 13, 2012
Excellent quality. I have bought many of these shirts over the years, and they last through numerous professional lauderings. I recommend this shirt to anyone who wants to look well-dressed with a tie and jacket. December 8, 2012
Wrinkles It was my second shirt. However, this one was so wrinkled that I could not wear it. Washing and ironing did not help. I am very disappointed in quality. I will try to return it. October 12, 2012
