Everything they said and more.
These are very warm and comfortable with just the right amount of bulk for my boots without being too bulky and making my feet feel cramped. I ordered these because another respondent said they were too warm. My feet cannot be too warm. I find the fit, comfort and warmth perfect. I love the seamless toes, and that they are made in the U.S.
Thank you, Lands End

Much Better Than Expected
I was frustrated with Land's End when they stopped carrying a great pair of socks I purchased a few years ago. But when I saw these Fox River Tamarack's I decided to pull the trigger and I'm so glad I did. Now they're my favorite socks and I almost always have them on. They're thick, soft, warm, and comfortable -plus, no seams at the toes that have bothered me in the past.

heavier than the description sounds
These are good socks and fit well, but I think they are best suited to colder temperatures. The catalog description sounds like they are good "no matter what the temperature". On my feet hey seem pretty heavy for moderate/warm temperatures, but great for cold temps.
