Fine, just not my style
I bought both the navy and burgundy. Fit and everything was fine, but I returned the unopened burgundy vest because I just didn't like the knit of the cotton. The finish is just not a refined enough style for other than round the house casual wear..

Good fit and comfortable
I ordered size "M" and it fitted perfectly. It is comfortable and ideal in winter months when I need something to keep my back warm in an office. It is well made, and is recommended.

This is a great vest for the money
My partner is a fisherman. He wears vests most of the year. He loves these vests- first they are worn for casual wear, then he uses them for work. It is hard to find nice vests these days- and these are a great buy! They are easy- case- wash and dry in the dryer. They don't shrink and the open neck makes it easy for him to get his note book out of his shirt pocket. And they look great!

Excellent all around quality. Skimping on material.
This is a beautifully made sweater. But, the large fits like a medium. If you have a mature stature, I would think about sizing up, if possible. The sweater is really made for the younger physique. To be fair, I've found this to be true with many of today's styles from other quality men's clothing sellers. Especially shirts and sweaters:
Dear Lands End, I wish you would offer some of the traditional clothing with a generous fit, like you did "back-when".

Ordering a second one
I bought this red vest last Christmas for my husband because I love my long-sleeved red Drifter crew in the same warm fabric. He's 5'10" with a belly, and the XL fits fine. Maybe because he's a guy, but, while my sweater looks terrific one year later after numerous washings, the one I bought him last year looks a bit old and stretched out. (He drycleans his!) So I'm ordering a second red vest for him. He can wear the older one on weekends and still have a neater-looking one for those colder days at work. There's something about this bright red sweater that, despite its bold color, my usually drab husband loves it! AND, I bought him a navy long-sleeved Drifter, too, which he loves. Keep these coming as they are, Land's End, and I'll be ordering them in more colors, sweaters and vests.

I like it
I got this sweater in maize & burgundy. The vest is thicker knit than I anticipated, but looks to be of good quality and looks nice on. I'm very glad the vest is offered in size small since I am a smaller, shorter guy...it fit just right. Additionally, the price is reasonable. So far very happy with the purchase...shipping was fast too! And they used USPS which I support. Now what I wish is that Lands End would offer some sweater vests in a cable knit and/or a crew/scoop type neck rather than the v-neck. Those are hard to find.

A good, solid cotton vest.
Not as refined as the supima cotton vests, but very nice. A bit more casual, and the color (burgundy) is vivid.
