You'll look professional and stay warm and dry no matter what the commute — even if it's through a snowstorm. The shell feels like cotton, but it's really a waterproof nylon/polyester blend. Plus the seams are tape sealed, so water has no chance of sneaking in. Inside, you'll stay toasty warm, thanks to the 650 fill power down insulation. It's lofty and lightweight (no bulk here), plus it's one of the warmest grades available. Our coat is designed with lots of pockets, including two inside pockets, an inside security pocket and a zip pocket with cord port for an MP3 player. Shell is 60% nylon/40% polyester, lining is 100% nylon. Machine wash. Imported.

What a pity! The outside fabric is poor and gives an unstylish coat
I ordered the coat in black for my boyfriend. I wish if the outside fabric could have the same features as the Women's Regular Down Commuter Long Coat. The outside fabric looks poor and cheap on the men's commuter coat. Landsend picture are not properly highlighting this. I would have expected a quality like the Men's Sportsman Quilted Insulator Jacket I already bought. Despite the custom and shipping costs I am returning this item as it is not looking pretty at all on my boyfriend.

Feathers keep coming out!
I live in Estonia (European Union) and recently bought this coat as a replacement of my old and heavy wool coat. This is my first experience with down coat.
PROS: Lightweight, long enough to protect my butt from freezing wind, pass-through pockets are very-very useful.
CONS: Feathers keep coming out!

The Perfect Coldweather Coat!
I live in Ottawa, Canada and I bought this for my husband who although reluctant at first to go into a long coat. Once he tried it on, he was sold. My six foot three son is getting this coat in black for Christmas since he was always borrowing his dad's coat on our cold winter days. This is a very warm and lightweight coat that stands up well. It looks better in person than it does on the model.

Best winter coat I've ever had!
This is the best winter coat I've ever had. It is light-weight, sufficiently long so that you are able to avoid sitting on a cold car seat in the darkest of winter days. The hood is designed to block out the worst of the winds swirling about you. There is an elastic piece at the wrists that blocks out the cold at those points. And at the neck you can easily snap the extended piece on the hood that protects against the cold entering at that point. The design is sufficiently "dressy" to allow you to wear the coat on any business occasion, without the "ridges" that make most down coats inappropriate for professional wear. No coat could be warmer and yet completely comfortable to wear. I could not be more pleased with this superb product!
