Not mid-calf length My husband likes the mid-calf length, which comes to his mid-calf. These go all the way to the knee. Had to return them. May 28, 2013
mid-calf I guess I don't know what midcalf means. These socks come up over the calf rather than midcalf. I can't wear them. May 11, 2013
Too small! I'm okay with the fabric and quality of these, however as others have stated the sizing is way off. I bought the large and they are MUCH smaller and tighter than the last version of these Lands end socks. I also wish they would come in colors like Khaki and dark olive to match my pants (rather than strange colors like that bright blue - seriously, does anybody wear socks that color?) April 26, 2013
Quite satisfactory What can one say about socks other than this product is quite satisfactory. April 15, 2013
Much smaller than previous These socks are much small than previous ones I have ordered. They don't come up nearly as far on the calf (at least 1.5 inches shorter), so they don't stay up. These are also much thinner than before, and the blend is not nearly as nice as the all cotton versions in the past. Worst of all, the seamless toe is constructed differently, so there is now a lump -- which means it isn't seamless any more. I returned the ones I bought. I have ordered these socks for many years, and have gotten used to the variations from order to order (and there are ALWAYS variations) but this is the worst ever. This is what happens when you use the lowest-cost foreign manufacturer, and don't pay attention to quality control. December 29, 2012
The socks are not the correct size Mid-calf socks should come to the middle of the calf and not below the calf. the wool rib mid-calf does fit correctly. However, I prefer to wear the cotton socks with more casual wear. December 9, 2012
I love the color I like the high quality feel of the socks November 25, 2012
These socks are NOT up Lands End standards. The description of these socks indicates 70% cotton, 26% nylon and 4% lycra. They arrived with 71% cotton, 26% nylon. They are not at all what the product description says. I have worn Lands End Socks, Mid Calf for at least 15 years, maybe longer. These socks are not near the length I've worn before. They are about 2" shorter on the calf. I've discovered these socks have NO STRETCH AT ALL, whereas all my previous socks would stretch up for a perfect fit for me. Either the supplier cheated on your specifications, or Lands End changed the specification and not the catalog description. November 21, 2012
