The socks received were knee length instead of being dress socks. I sent them back.
This was not at all what I expected in a dress sock. I always thought dress socks were to come over the ankles not up and over the calf.

Tight and inconsistent
These were a great disappointment..I ordered the shorter sock but what arrived were knee highs and sometimes higher. The tops were inconsistent, some too tight ,some even tighter! Not a good buy and at $10 +a pair..a real shocker. No quality control and in five packs..different deniers. Better buy the cheapest of the cheap at wherever they 're sold.

Very disappointed! Have been purchasing this product for at least 15 years!
I have purchased the over the calf socks for my husband for at least 15 years. The latest order was highly disappointing, particularly because these are the only dress socks he will wear! The product has changed a great deal from what it once was. I am happy to pay a higher price for the quality. This cheaper version is not good...and unfortunately, I will have to look elsewhere for a substitute. Too Bad....

The fit is big and average, depending on the part of the sock.
The foot portion of the sock fits snugly, but I cannot understand the leg length. I wanted a crew length for hot summer wear. However, the sock seems to be mid-calf; you know, it won't stay up the way an over-the-calf sock stays, and it won't stay put on the lower calf the way a crew sock stays. After fifteen minutes it is gathered just above my ankle.

Wanted crew-length socks; these are much longer.
I like crew-length socks. From the illustration and description in the catalog, I thought these would be something that is hard to find: crew-length dress socks that look good but feel comfortable. To my disappointment, these socks are the same uncomfortable length of dress socks available anywhere. So I will have to keep searching for those perfect socks that look neat, are available in several colors -- including black, are the same length as white cotton gym socks, stay up without cutting off the circulation in my legs, wear well, and keep their color when washed. I hope Lands' End can come up with socks that meet all those specifications.

I have been looking for this color sock for a long time. I am a femaie, but these were the only purple socks I could find in the right color.

nice sox
these are nice sox. they are a bit lighter than some sox I got before at Lands end, but they look like they should wear well. they are comfortable. I will buy again.

Thin, didnt stay up
Disappointed with this item. Normally wear Gold Toe socks, assumed Lands End would be similar quality. The material is very thin and the socks dont stay up. I bought a few pairs and will return the ones I didnt open. I have never ordered socks from Lands End but am surprised how inferior this product is.
