Great product for price
I tend to lose one jacket a year. I wanted something thats light in weight, provides adequate warmth and not too heavy on the wallet if I lose it. I have about 3 or 4 jackets from lands end. This jacket is a great value given the myriad of available options. I have not lost it yet and it serves well come rain or snow.

Not nearly the quality and warmth of the old Squall jackets
What a shame that LE has dropped the quality of this once outstanding jacket. I have two and the old one, from some years ago, is much heavier and warmer (heavier pile) than the one I bought recently. Many other alternatives now.
And LE, if I call, I'm not going to wait for 10 minutes to speak to someone and be forced to listen to your advertising. You are losing your way.

Not the same quality anymore
I bought this to replace an older Squall jacket. As a 20+ year customer of Land's End I have been disappointed in my purchases the last couple of years as the quality has noticeably gone down. Sizing has also become inconsistent. This jacket is made of thinner and of lesser quality materials. Fit is fine and the finishing seems to be ok also. But it is definitely thinner and not as warm as my old Squall jacket. This will probably be my last Land's End purchase due to quality issues and inconsistent sizing. At this quality I might as well shop the sales at the department stores where I can at least see the quality and fit when I purchase.

Perfect winter coat.
I bought this coat for my teenage son. The green is a great color. He loves it, and cannot wait to wear it this coming winter. Another Great Purchase from Lands End.

This coat is perfect - period
If you want a high quality coat that always looks good, comfortable, and warm, please don't hesitate. Buy one. You can even wash and dry it at home. No need to have it dry cleaned. You win't be unhappy with it.

Just what I wanted, more than I expected!
Wisconsin has had a mild winter, and I was looking for a jacket to fall somewhere between 'dressy' and 'yard work'. This jacket was just perfect to fill that gap! I'm 6'2" and 265lbs. I usually wear a 2XLT, and this one fits just as expected. Large enough for a sweatshirt to be worn under it, but not so large as to be bulky. Temps were in the hi 20's today, and I was nice and snug while letting my dog out, first thing in the morning. I've been wearing it for only two days, and have had three different folks say 'nice jacket'! I ordered the Brick color, and just love it!

Light and warm with a great fit.
Received this jacket and quickly realized it was exactly what I wanted. Fits well, with sleeves that slip right on and cuffs that seal. The outer shell sheds the wind and water. The strong zipper is backed by an inner flap to make a jacket that I will wear constantly from Fall thru Spring in New England. I just ordered a second one.

Quality and size are good
This is a high quality made jacket and the tall size fits well for a guy with long arms. However, the insulation in this jacket thats called windcheck and thermacheck, is a lower quality insulation. This same jacket quite a few years ago had insulation called polartech. It kept you warmer and I guess Lands End needed to cut costs, so they went for the cheaper stuff. Its still a good jacket and I do still wear it, but its not as warm as it used to be.
