Fresh cream plaid is really a check pattern, not plaid. Soft fabric, nice twill.
The color "fresh cream plaid" is a check, since the horizontal and vertical lines are all equal in width and height. The diagonal twill lines do show up, and the shirt is not fuzzy like flannel. In the pictures, the burgundy or red color looks prominent. In real life, no color stands out more than another. The colores are midnight blue, forest green, cranberry red, and goldenrod yellow against a cream background. The shirt can be worn with tan, navy or brown pants. I buy shirts and stock up for special days. It sounds like I work for Lands End, but I do not. The fabric is soft, not crisp like a poplin. I would call say that the colors are Autumn season. ... so if you get the Fresh Cream color, remember that the cream is only the squares between the lines.

Excessive shrinkage, too bad nice shirt.
This is a great shirt but after washing prior to wearing it, the shirt shrank so much it didn't fit. I returned for a refund. Too bad I really liked it. I've never had this problem with shirts from lands' End, even other 100% cotton items.

Almost perfect
I love everything about this shirt, except that it is not quite long enough for me, and has a habit of coming untucked if I'm not careful. I'm a 15.5"/35", which is on the cusp of regular and tall sizing. I suspect that if I had purchased a 15.5"/36", which is a tall size, I wouldn't be having this problem, but then the sleeves would be too long. Sigh. Other than that, I would rate this shirt a 5/5. It looks great worn casually with jeans, but it also looks nice dressed up with khakis and a blazer or tweed jacket.

Great colors and fit.
Great quality, as I knew it would be. My husband looks good in this and the other shirts that I ordered. I am very pleased. He has also gotten compliments from other people when he wore it out! Washes well, also!

Excellent quality
The fabric is soft, yet retains a crease. I wear this shirt in busness casual settings. This is the first shirt I've purchased from Land's End. I'm impressed!

Side pleats... Yes!!!
I agree with other reviewers that the tailored fit could still be slimmed down a bit (particularly in the sleeves, arm hole, and waist), but it was nice to find a tailored fit shirt without a box pleat on the back. Box pleats on the back of the rest of Lands End's shirts make them appear baggier than they should.

Very Comfortable
Soft, good stitching, and quite comfortable. Not particularly dressy, but some patterns are certainly up to the not-so-formal office. May prove to be a bit warm in the height of summer, but no issues yet.
