We partnered with Hoffman California Fabrics – the world’s top designer of tropical prints — to bring you island-inspired style. The company's led by famed surfer Walter Hoffman; his life-long love of the sport and all things surf made the company the premier purveyor of exotic fabrics for Hawaiian shirts — and board shorts.

These Board Shorts have a couple of touches unique in our collection: a hidden snap fly, and a self-fabric carry bag (with a waterproof lining) in which you can bring the shorts back from the beach. Then, the other design details: a comfortably shaped, three-piece mesh liner (most others are two-piece, with a seam where you don’t want one), pockets that let water drain, silky, quick-drying 100% nylon fabric, a front sunglasses loop and one back pocket with rip-grip seal. Tradi­tion­al Fit. Machine wash. Imported.

Perfect bathing suit The fabric is much thinner and it is a trimmer fit than the regular Land's End suits -- much, much better bathing suit. I have two of these already and I think I'm going to order a third! May 29, 2013
Outstanding! Really happy with these. Perfect for a shorter-legged man, others have always looked a lot like bloomers. Perfect for a +50 guy, felt like I was "with it" as far as the style without trying to look younger than I am. Stylish without looking outrageous or goofy. Very comfortable, dried quickly (like board shorts are supposed to...). So happy with it I bought a second pair of another color. October 8, 2012

Colorful, comfortable, and well made I purchased the Hoffman swim shorts in preparation for a vacation first in Florida, then in Europe. They seemed to be an appropriate length and style for both places while still keeping my American aesthetic. The fit is comfortable and they are true to size. They come with their own waterproof bag which is a nice touch. I would recommend these swimming shorts. As a matter of fact I liked them so much I bought another pair! July 8, 2012
Ordered a second pair I ordered these in coral for my 63 year old husband. Most suits are too "poofy" for his thin legs. These are a good length, 7", and are not too full in the leg. The 3 piece liner fits comfortably and the non elastic front lies flat. The print was not what drew me to order these, but the flat front and length, and the color, coral, is good for the not-so-tan working legs. He likes them so well that I just reordered them in the blue print too. Fabric dries quickly and is good quality. July 4, 2012
Extremely good quality I'm beyond the point of trying to impress anyone in my swimsuit, but when my dear wife suggested that maybe I should upgrade my swim atire I listened. I first bought a suit from a local national chain store, but it just didn't feel that great. I went on line to Land's End and bought this suit. It is definitely a quality product. Wears well and drys quickly. Fits perfectly, and I do have to admit it does make me feel a little stylish when out in the sun. The Land's End price and service was fantastic, too!. Thank you. Better than expected I bought this for my husband, not because I liked the print, but because it was the only pair of swim shorts with a 7 inch inseam that was not a full elastic waist. The print is a little loud for the 70+ wearer, but the shorter leg length is the right fit for a short person. I think he looks good, and he likes it, too, a real plus! May 1, 2012
