The weather changes quickly and so does this parka. With three ways to wear it, you'll be reaching for it throughout the seasons. The waterproof polyester shell has sealed seams to keep rain from sneaking in, plus a storm flap and snap-off hood for added coverage. And since the fabric is wrinkle resistant, it maintains a smooth look as you're on the go. To help take the chill off in cooler temps, we include a removable nylon liner with 120-gram insulation for extra warmth. (It attaches at the neck and cuffs so it stays put.) You can also wear it alone as a casual, lightweight jacket. Liner has a zip front and two zippered side pockets. Shell is 100% polyester, liner is 100% nylon. Machine wash. Imported.

Ideal for city winters in New Zealand
My only fault as with so many mens outer garments these days is the boring, drab and dull colours avaiable. Where is the red, the yellow? It would be so good to add a touch of brightness and colour to a rainy day.

My all-time favorite coat
After most of one winter with this coat, I still love it. Very versatile. Formal enough for all occasions but still fine for everyday. If its warm, it is easy to remove the inner coat. The inner coat is also OK by itself. The outer coat by itself is an excellent raincoat. One problem is that the hood is not very warm, so you might want to wear a ski cap or ear muffs underneath it. Also, no inside pockets. There are three sets of outer pockets, but they are all at about the same spot, so that can make it confusing to find whatever you might have in a given pocket. As other reviews have stated, the hand warming pockets are too low, so gloves are useful. Still it looks and feels great.

Disappointing - liner does not zip in, hangs unattached, essentially a separate garment
This jacket has nice features. Shell material is soft and cotton-like. Zippers, snaps, styling are Lands End nice.
The pockets are average/OK/adequate. Initial thought is that it would be much nicer is fleece lined -- but maybe the material used will maintain better long term and is water-proof. I can accept this.
However, I will almost certainly return because the liner design is weird and does not make sense. Net/net, the liner does not zip in and attach like one would see in all the 3 in 1 jackets at REI or the Columbia store. Rather the liner is lightly attached with button in each sleeve and button at the back of the next. That's it. Rest of it just hangs separate from the shell. Makes me want to get some crazy glue and attach the rest to the shell. As a result, there are two independent zippers involved in wearing this jacket. The liner zipper and the shell zipper. Can look a bit awkward if the liner is zipped up and the shell is open. Seems uncoordinated. Visually one sees two zippers.
Equal to having two separate garments.
I think the LE designers might want to go back to the drawing board and fix this. Not hard to do. Simply copy everyone else and make the liner zip in so that it is nicely attached to the shell.
LE would definitely have my recommendation if the liner was standard, zip in.
By the way, the jacket is thinner than expected. Most consumer will likely expect bulkier. I think such is actually a plus; and likely a feature that the apparel designer tried to achieve. Warmth without bulk. Or more of the warmth driven by wind protection and creating a seal around the heat generating human body; rather than a thick layer of down.
My 11 year old son did not like the design. Too long for him and he thought it looked too dressy, not a fit in his mind for a 11 year old boy.

Versatile and Looks Sharp
I bought this coat for a New Year's trip to Venice, and it performed beautifully. With the liner in, it was perfect for chilly nights - including being outside for hours on New Year's Eve. With the liner out, the shell was still warm enough for temps in the low 40's and blocked the wind effectively. The many pockets let me stow my gloves, glasses case, and any small items we picked up on our wanderings. To top it off, unlike most winter coats, this one looks good enough to wear almost anywhere. I'm very pleased.

Exceptionally functional . No fashion statement.
The layering concept is clever, great for warmth in all conditions. Water proof, As well. However the wearer could easily be impersonating a police officer. It's that unremarkable. Could use some reflective tape for safety's sake. And a nice red lands end patch to chic it up a notch.

light but warm
This coat was way too big, but a lovely coat besides. I bought it as a gift for my husband. He liked it a lot, but we will have to return for a smaller size.

not practical designed
Quality is good for the price but I will probably just wear it without the inner jacket which just does not fit, for cold weather I'd rather have a fleece shirt under the jacket for warmth rather than that ill fitting inner piece. Thinking about returning it.

Perfect for a gift
My son is a server and often works evenings. Temperatures here have already dipped to as low at 6 degrees over night. He wears the liner during the day, and then adds the shell at night. He is very happy with his early Christmas present. Fits well.

So far, it fits well and serves the purpose for which it was purchased.
The coat fits well, and works for the type of weather for which I needed it. My preference would be for larger pockets and more of them. Why do the handwarmer pockets have zippers? I would like further experience with the coat before writing a detailed review.

A interesting and good looking parka
This is an interesting parka, I have not acutally worn it outside yet but here is what I observe. I am 6'2" tall and weigh about 250 lbs. The XLT is a nice fit. It comes in two sections the inner jacket and the outer shell. I normally don't like this design becuase the inner shell often gets caught up in the sleeves when you take it off, but this garmet has a very suitable inner material and as a result it slips off easily. Pockets are good and overall it is quite good looking. This is not a cold weather garment (I live in the arctic), but I think it will be suitable for cool and or wet weather.
