Not for layering!
UGH! My first Squall was defective. I received the second in traditional good quality and shape from LE.com. I tried it on and it fits true. XL Tall fits my 6'6" 235 frame nice. However you cannot wear anything other than a skintight base layer or t-shirt under it. Long sleeve flannel? Nope. Sweatshirt/sweater? NO WAY. The fleece liner attaches like Velcro to whatever is on your inner sleeve save a skintight nike thermal I tried. Shove it in the closet or bother sears for another return? I wish I could have tried it on and avoided the whole mess. A great coat. If you follow my strict instructions. ;)

Excellent - fit is a little small
I like the jacket. It does fit a little smaller than expected, but not enough to return it. The sleeves themselves are a little tight, again not enough to send it back, though. I suggest considering a size larger than you would usually order.

Extremely Warm and fits great!
I've used this coat for over a month now and I'm very happy with it. It's been around 0-15 degrees in Alaska now, and this coat has kept me perfectly warm. I don't heat up when it's warmer out too. Great fit that isn't bulky, and is easy to move around in. Highly recommended!

I love the jacket. It's exactly what I wanted. The problem is the sleeves.
I can't get the jacket on or off without the sleeves binding up. We've all owned jackets where you have to hold the cuffs of your long sleeve shirt so it won't slide up the sleeve of your jacket but this one is ridiculous. Sending the jacket back today.

I Love the large pockets inside. My only reservation is that when I go to take it off, I have to reach inside the sleeve to grab the inner jacket.

Glad I read the views and reviews
The views of other customers help out a lot. While some have not been happy with this coat, it seems that mostly it was because they did not know what to expect. I thank those who wrote those reviews, because I knew what to expect and was very happy. Not to mention, the price was great!

Defective snaps
I ordered the jacket for my son. It looked really nice on him, but when we tried out the 3 in 1 feature and unsnapped the liner, one of the snaps fell off. It was broken. I called Lands End and ordered another. After a few days, it arrived. When I took it out of the plastic bag, I heard a tinkle noise as 2 broken snaps fell off this jacket. I gave up and returned them both to Sears.
It really is a shame, but I can't keep wasting my time, especially if the jackets aren't inspected before they are sent out.

Broken snaps and too big!
3 of the snaps were broken and loose in the bag upon arrival. Very big size versus what the tag says. I'm a large and this is easily an XL.

This jacket was a good fit.
I purched this jacket for my husband and he is very pleased with it. He likes the color and it fits well. He liked the quality of the construction and all the pockets.
