Sturdy and good size for books
I have several of the med sized open top totes which I really love due to their sturdiness. I decided to try the zipped tote to avoid stuff from falling out of the tote for times when I need to lie it flat in the car and also for privacy when I have it next to me at an event (also people can't easily reach into it without unzipping it if they wanted to take something of value). I got the navy with red border one and the colors are true to the website picture. The material is sturdy but does not seem as stiff as the natural color (with navy border and black border) ones that I have. But I don't mind - still a great product. Only drawback to the zipped top is that it is not easy to put my laptop (14.25" x 10.5") inside. It goes inside vertically but then I can't zip the tote closed since the laptop sticks out. To get it completely inside so that laptop lies horizontally (and allows me to zip tote closed) , I have to do some maneuvering with zip part of the cover. A little bit of a hassle when I am in a hurry. As others said, just wish the handles were a couple inches longer to be able to make it easier to carry on my shoulder.

Great tote bag!
This is a great tote bag! I bought the blue and green colored med tote to use as my son's daycare bag. The colors are so cute especially for a little boy. I had his name embroidered on the bag and it looks great! I love the inside pockets and the zip top is a must for me. The only minor complaint I have is that the handles could be a little longer which would make to easier to swing over your shoulder. Great tote and will probably buy others in the future.

heavy duty, well made bag
I use this bag for my knitting bag so I really appreciate the pockets and the top zipper. I have another bag that I bought at least 30 years ago that shows no signs of wear at all. I love your bags!

Fabulous tote
I have owned several of these tote bags for years. The older ones are just one big opening. I love that this one has a couple of interior pockets and a clip for keys. I bought it to carry my hand weights back and forth to exercise classes. It is sturdy enough to hold all of the weights that I take with me.
We loved it so much that I just ordered the large to use as a beach bag. Love the red and blue color combination.

All-purpose Tote
I plan to use this tote during my last year of teaching in a community college - toting lecture notes, dayplanner, and a thermos. Then, next summer, plan to take it on a driving tour of the Mediterranean to carry maps, guide books, and small purchases. Love the zipper and the sturdy handles.

Great bag
I got this bag to carry as a diaper bag. It is very sturdy and well made. I holds a lot. I wish it has a few more smaller pockets inside bu other than that it is great. Themonograming looks perfect.

Wow...it's like the energizer bunny of totes!
I've had mine for 3 years and drag it into school 5 days a week. It's been used on several vacations as a carry on and used for groceries during the summer months as well. One corner is starting to get a wee hole in it but all in all, I highly recommend this tote. Go green and forget about the plastic bags!
I wish we could get more letters monagramed on the bag. There is just too few!
I've had some really good ideas but not enough space to write what I wanted. I asked to go to a smaller font and they said they couldn't. :(
One year, every female on my Xmas list got one of these bags and they were loved by one and all!

THE PERFECT GIFT FOR MY MOTHER!
Lands' End tote bags are the only tote bags I use, and I have several in each size. This colored canvas tote bag with embroidered name was a gift for my mother who is THRILLED with the durability & handsome look. Although medium is a bit large for her use as a purse, she cannot wait to carry it to church. One feature I have always appreciated is that the bags STAND UP on their own, whether empty or full. I would like to see zip tops & long handles as options for all bags.

Best bag EVER.
I have had this bag for over two years now and it's still going strong. I use it everyday as a book bag for school and for when I travel, as a bag for my laptop. It can hold so much stuff and is ridiculously sturdy. After being all over the world and on dirty school floors it's starting to look a little dingey and the handles are starting to fray, but after two years that's pretty good! I love this bag so much I bought them for my coaches and they love it too! I've even converted my roommate!
It can seem a bit pricey, but for the durability and quality it is most definitely worth it. I just wish that there were more colour options.

Pink and Navy blue discontinued :(
These bags are great quality. I like to get these as gifts for diaper bags or as a small child's over night bag? They are great because the child will not grow out of using it. I'm disappointed that the pink/ blue is discontinued it was perfect for a girl gift.
