Don't order kelly green color!
The Bag Itself Is Well Made. I Was Not Happy With The Kelly Green Color Or The Monogram Thread Color. The Kelly Green Looks Like "John Deer/St. Patricks Day green" Rather Than The Teal Color In The Sample Boxes And The Thread For The Monogram Did Not Match The Bag Color. It Was A Bright Lime Green, Which Stood Out From The Rest Of The Bag. Thankfully I Can Easily Return It At Sears. Wait For A 30% Or 40% Off Sale (There Is Usually Free Shipping Then Too). I Have Ordered The Navy, Bright Iris, And Azalea Pink. Don't Expect The Bright Iris To Be A Dark Purple, It Is As The Name States A "Bright" Purple. The Azalea Pink Is More Of A Dark Pink Than Hot Pink. I Would Recommend The Navy Color For A More Conservative Colored Bag That Someone Could Take To Work. I Have Only Ordered The Medium Size Which Is PerfecT For Everyday Use And As A Carry On Bag. I Do Not Like Oversized Bags, So I Think The Large Would Be Way Too Big For Me. The Medium Can Fit About 3 Paper Towel Rolls Across It. I Wish Lands End Would Offer The Medium Zip Top With Long Handles, Because It Does Seem To Sit At An Uncomfortable Place. I Have About 3 Inches Between My Armpit And The Top Of The Bag And If You Left The Zipper Open To Put An Oversized Item In You Would Not Be Able To Carry It On Your Shoulder. The Bottom Of The Bag Sits Right At My Hip Bone. I Spent The Extra Money For A Zip Top, Because I Dislike Having Open Top Bags/Purses That Could Easily Lose Items. The Colored Fabric At The Top Of The Bag In The Picture Lays Down Into The Bag With The zipper, So That it Is Not Visible And Looks Just Like The Open Top Bag. At First I Was Worried It Would Look Like The Picture Until I Realized They Pulled Up The Fabric And Zipper For The Picture. The Fabric Of The Bag Is Very Sturdy And Not A Flimsy Type Of Canvas, But More Like The Material That Is On Kong Fabric Pet Toys. There Is A Pocket On The Outside Of The Bag Unde rThe Monogram, On The Inside There Is A Divided Pocket (2 Skinny, 1 Square) On One side And On The Other Side A Large Open Pocket The Width Of The Bag With A Button Snap In The Middle To Keep Something Like A Book Or IPad From Falling Out. There Is Also A Clip Key Chain That You Can Easily Attach Your Keys Too. I Have Done The Monogram With Initials In The Diamond Style (Didn't Like It) And The Name In Script Which I Like Much Better Than Any Of The Initial Style Options. If I Were To Purchase Mine Again I Would Probably Purchase A Medium Long Handled Bag In True Navy Preferably With A Zipper, But Since That Last Option Is Not Available Yet I Will Probably Get The Short Handled Zip Top, Because The Zipper Is More Important To Me Than The Long Handles.

Zip top canvas bag in "medium" smaller than I'd pictured.
I saw this bag on the beach in Maui this winter. I thought the medium would be big enough for two beach towels and other necessaries, but it is not. Will probably order the large now as the bag itself is beautifully made.

The best
I had an older version that I still use and just thought it was time to update the color. Love the inside pockets, the key chain clip and of course zipper top closing. This bag carries my shoes (in the winter) lunch, medium purse and a few extras to work every day. I just love it.

I moved to Asia for a job and these canvas totes are hard to find. So I bought online and voila, it's here. So happy. I paid more for shipping but hey, you can't find them here.
I like the Land's End version better than LL Bean's because of the inner and outer pockets.

Good size and very sturdy
I bought two of these totes and had them monogrammed for my children. When we travel, I always pack a bag for each child that I fill with activities, art supplies, books, travel games, and snacks. I prefer this bag because it has a zipper to keep treasures safe. This is a perfect size to pack as the carry-on for an upcoming plane ride. The bags are sturdy and definitely can hold up to the abuse they receive!

Just perfect!
Very nicely made, the medium size is a nice size for day to day use, great commuter bag size. I will use this as my "personal item" next time I fly, it will be ideal for the things I like to have with me. And FYI, I think the construction on the Lands End version is much nicer than that other big company!

Great bag for kids to bring to grams house!
