I was expecting a much sturdier suitcase.
I was expecting a much sturdier suitcase. Althought the wheels and handle bar did look like they would last, as soon as we opened the case up for the first time, we knew it wasn't going to stand up to the type of traveling that we do. The sides were very flimsy compared to other brands at this price point. Would not recommend this product until they do some major improvements.

Product was exactly as described, but turned out to be SO awkward to actually use.
This suitcase is very durable and easy to maneuver and I wanted to love it. Its design of 2 halves, each with its own zipper opening, was definitely apperent from the product description and photo -- and even seemed like a plus to me: I thought it would make my packing very organized. However, once I actually used it on a trip, I realized just how awkward that was! You have to unzip one side to pull out an item, then rezip it and unzip the other side to get out something else. It got to be pretty tedious. I will be mindful of this when packing for future trips, to minimize the need to access items from both sides.

too heavy to be lightweight !
I bought this suitcase because of the present airline restrictions for check in luggage (free : max 1 piece of max 50 lb total weight - max 62" total size). Dimension and weight of the suitcase are thus crucial.
Advertised at 5.3 LB, this suitcase looked to be a winner as it's just below maximum allowed size, also justifying it's quite expensive price of 400 $.
Alas: the weight indicated on the Website was a typo - upon receipt it turned out the suitcase weighted, empty, 12.12 LB !
I thus returned the item (and this was very efficiently and well dealt with by Land's End)
