We partnered with Dwelling, LLC, a member of a nonprofit organization of businesses that provides a link between artisans and the marketplace. Dwelling is dedicated to creating long-term economic opportunities for crafts people in Africa and Haiti, and this plush primate is handcrafted by a member of the Kenana Knitters group, in Kenya, from 100% home spun wool, dyed with natural plant dye, and signed by the woman who knitted it.
Proceeds from your purchase of this stuffed animal benefit two organizations started by Jane Goodall: the Jane Goodall Institute, which researches and protects chimpanzees, and her youth-education program Roots & Shoots.
As this plush toy is handmade, each is unique and appearance will vary. Imported.
