Love the size and shape, but inside material is not durable This is the 2nd year I have purchased LE lunch boxes. The shape and size of this style lunch box is perfect and fits all of our various containers. I did note a difference in the material in this year's model, but did not think anything of it until 2 out of our 3 lunch boxes have fallen apart on the inside. Both this month, 6 months into school year, and both the lining has come apart at the seams (no ripping, just separated). Came back on the sight to see about replacing them and saw a bunch of reviews that say the same thing. Hopefully this will be corrected, because I really did a great deal of research to find the right sized bag and this one is it, hands down. Please make next years better. I should not have to replace a lunch box before the end of the school year (let alone 2). March 25, 2013
Disappointing - Lining Fell Apart My kids were excited to get this lunch box and matching backpacks. I love LandsEnd - we get a lot of stuff from them and have been very happy with quality. But the lining in both of these lunch boxes started tearing after five months of regular, routine use. I have to buy two new lunch boxes now. I think $20.00 lunch boxes should last the whole school year. February 23, 2013
very disappointed I bought 2 of these in August. We also had the problem of the lining ripping out of one of them after only 4 months of use. I am disappointed because I had hoped these would last several years just like the previous lunch boxes I have purchased from Lands' End. I am returning the ripped one. January 26, 2013
Not like they used to make them! My kid had a LE lunch box that she used every day from KG to 3rd grade. By then, the zipper started to break, but it's still useable. It was an awesome lunchbox. So I decided to replace it with this one. BAD IDEA! This lunch box is NOT as big as it seems in the picture. The water bottle barely fits in there. Softer foods like bananas are not really protected and get bruised. Mostly importantly, my kid has been in school for only 6 weeks and the inside lining of the lunchbox has already ripped! The seams have separated. I could have bought this shabby lunchbox at Target for a third of the price. October 13, 2012
This lunchbox is too small--not as advertised My daughter is going into the fifth grade this year and has had a Lands End lunchbox every year. My daughter picked this one out and we were excited to get it, but when we opened it we realized it was way too small. The dimensions list it as being 4.5 inches deep, but it did not even measure 3 inches deep. Perhaps we received a lunchbox that had not been through quality control? I'm not sure--I only know that my daughter cannot use this lunchbox, and I will have to return it. This year, we're going elsewhere for a lunchbox. August 22, 2012
Lands End at its best This is the lunch box my daughter will be using this coming school year. The main compartment fits a Ziploc plastic lunch container (the one with 3 compartments), a Kleen Kanteen 8 oz water bottle, and 2 small plastic Blue Ice. Surprisingly, the water bottle didn't fit into mesh on the outside of lunch box, but we prefer it in with the cold packs. August 21, 2012
Counting on quality Had to buy the matching lunchbox for the new backpack, even though this lunch bag/box is a little more expensive than I'd like. I'm counting on the fabric being able to withstand cleaning and maybe even a gentle washing machine every so often. August 20, 2012
clean up = easy! Another quality product from Landsend August 20, 2012
So far so good.. Seems ok.. will hold an "easy lunch box" or a "laptop lunch" for those of you who do bento lunches. I wish it attached more securely to the backpack like the pbk ones but otherwise seems good. I am really relieved it will hold the laptop kit. August 19, 2012
just Okay This is an okay lunchbox. I wasn't impressed with the quality of the inside of the lunchbox, doesn't seem as durable as other brands. Also, the clip system does not work correctly with backpack that it coordinates with, my 6 yr. old doesn't like the feel of the backpack and lunchbox on his back, as the lunch box hangs too low. Design and color very cute, do not think it's worth the price. August 14, 2012
