Perfect kindergarten backpack! Can't find anything similar!
This is an exceptional backpack for kindergarten! This is not too big, not too small, just a perfect fit for a little one not "quite" ready for the next size up. Not only is it sturdy and built to last, the fabric print is friendly and my little guy especially loves the little friend that came with the pack. As always, LE makes a product that will stand up to the wear and tear that a student will give it on a daily basis, but they also corrected a small zipper flaw that occurred a few years ago in a similar pack. This is built to use and give to younger siblings after a quick wash or donate.....either way a win win for ever who gets to pack it or carry it! Thank you LE, can't find anything similar (ie as well made) anywhere!

Love this backpack
I bought this for my daughter (2.5 years old) and she LOVES it. It is the perfect size and it is sturdy, yet light weight.

Perfect Christmas Present!
I bought this for a 2 yr old friend of mine and had her name monogrammed on it. Her Mum loved it and Ariana was very reluctant to take it off when it came time to put on her coat! ' OX' was taken to immediately... All in all a wonderful and practical gift. A little bigger than I anticipated, the recipient is petite and it will be a few months before she really grows into it. It would have been helpful to have a belt type strap to keep it on but maybe that's a safety thing? As usual beautifully made and wonderful quality. Land's End hasn't disappointed yet!

Great size for the intended 3+ year old; I was afraid it would be too big
This was a perfect size for the 3+ yr old. Stuffed it with stuff and there was still room. I cannot wait for the day and the reaction

Best bag for preschoolers!!
pretty sure this will take my daughter to kindergarten! This bag is the perfect size for little ones going to preschool. The pockets are great. Zipper is easy to open and close. The Ugly Doll is too cute!

wish it was a little softer material but otherwise great
daughter is 37 inches. good size backpack for her. cute design she likes. wish material wasnt so plastic-y? but i guess maybe things will wipe off it easier? one thing i did wish was that it was made a little bit bigger. when i try to put in a folder, the edges get all bent up bc it is just a bit too small. but overall seems like good quality and good value compare to what i would get at walmart.

Great value & super cute!
Absolutely adorable and I love the ugly doll that comes with it! Perfect size for my almost 4 year old niece to carry around her treasures to and from her playdates and preschool. The colors are as vibrant as they are in the pictures shown on the website. This size would NOT work for a Kindergartener or a young elementary student though...this is a SMALL backpack. My niece is a pretty tiny four year old and this will be a perfect size for her for the next year (maybe two), and then she'll hand it off to her little sister to use.

excellent first Backpack!!
Sizing is perfect for a first year kindergarten child. My grandaughter loved it so much -- she took it to bed with her the first few nights. The Ugly Doll was a big hit -- she loves it -takes it everywhere!
It is roomy enough for the toys she feels she must carry around -- as well as the few items her mom or teacher feel are necessary.Well done Lands End.

Perfect for us!
We have two of these backpacks, one for my 2 year old daughter and one for my just-turned-four year old. They are very well constructed, bright and easy for the kids to get on/off by them selves. On the smallest setting it fits my 4 year old perfect, with room to grow (32lbs, 36inches tall)...it's big on my 2 year old (again, small kiddo at 22lbs and 33 inches) but not so big she can't wear it. It's perfect for daycare/preschool in that it fits a lovey, a change of clothes, their medicine/diapers and room for anything else they decide ''has'' to go with us. Would not work very well for pocket folders or big books, but being a ''first backpack'' I never expected it to.
