Good for small women too.
I am a small woman with a long torso and find the large kids shirt fits great for exercising or working outside. It is longer than a petite and fits perfect in the shoulders. The mesh is a perfect thickness for someone who lives in a very warm climate like me. I have bought many of these over the years and the current version is a bit wider than I like but again I am wearing it only in a very casual way and in our climate it keeps the breeze moving through.

Great school shirts
I ordered this shirt in a variety of colors for my son to wear to school. They are perfect for his school's dress code. They have held up really well.

This material keeps its color and shape, wash after wash.
I buy these shirts as part of my kids school uniform. I prefer this to the interlock knit because there is no fading of color (my kids wear the navy and the maize) or shrinking. However, It can get into the 20's regularly in the winter here, and these shirts do require a t-shirt underneath then. During the warmer months, however, the short sleeved version is breathable and cool in a stuffy classroom or on a sunny playground.

Great shirt, true to size.
Size and fit are true. Good look, well structured. My son is not fond of collared shirts but he loves these.

Ideal Shirt
I LOVE this shirt on my 4 year old son. With a pair of cotton twill pants he's dressed for Sunday church or school. It washes well and dries well. After a few washes it still looks as good as new on him.

Great shirt
After buying several different polos for my son's school uniform for 3 yrs now, I now only buy polos from Land's End. I never need to iron these shirts, and they are nearly impossible to stain. When my son is done with them, they still look and feel nice enough to pass down to his younger brother. We've tried both the mesh polo and interlocking polo. We live in a hot climate and he runs hot anyway, so the mesh breathable fabric is perfect for him. For those reviewers who complain the mesh polo is too thin, I recommend the interlocking polo. It's a smoother/softer finish and thicker fabric, and also a great shirt. You can't go wrong with a Land's End polo.

not my favorite mesh polo
i have been underwhelmed by these mesh polos in the past, as i think the fabric is too thin. i was desperate, however, as my 8 year old daughter needed a new white one for brownies right away, and ordered one. i really was hopeful, but again, the fabric is so thin, i can see her chest through the shirt. probably wouldn't be a big deal for dark colors, but white is pretty transparent.
the style and fit are good, just not happy with the fabric- not as substantial as i had hoped.
