ABOUT OUR BEAN BAG COVERS:
Built-to-last twill covers have reinforced seams to prevent rip-outs. And they're machine washable, so there's no need to worry about spills and smudges. Durably chainstitched full-length back zipper allows easy removal of the insert for cleaning. 100% cotton. Imported.

ABOUT OUR INSERTS:
The new insert shell is 100% polypropylene. This allows the shell to be much thinner and lighter than the former cotton shell. (Yes, it’s thin enough to be translucent, but that’s the beauty of this fabric: it doesn’t need to be heavy to be dependably tough.) When it comes to innovation we didn’t stop there; the fill is recycled polyester beads in a rectangular shell; and unlike previous inserts that shared the shape of the cover, this shape doesn’t allow the beads to crush down with use. Instead, they move and readjust each time the chair's used, to maintain lofty, cushioning support.

happy with my purchase but its not perfect I want to start with the good - we have two they have been in use since Christmas of 2011. My 3 year old is still working on getting to the potty and regularly wets her pants while in the bean bag, I wash the cover about once a week, for a while it was more like once a day. The insert has proven to be completely water proof and the cover looks like brand new still. The original inserts I purchased were extremely under filled. I comment on this in a review. Lands End took it upon themselves to contact me and replace both inserts!!!! Which have been in use in both bags for more then a year now. Still great. My complaint, the replacement inserts I received related to my originally poor review of not enough stuffing came so full of stuffing that they did not fit inside the covers. I actually had to remove a lot of the stuffing to get the inserts to fit in the covers. You can imagine the mess that created. Now one of the inserts has ripped. I called it was replaced no issues there but the replacement is so full of stuffing I cannt get it into the cover AGAIN. So now again I have to empty some of the stuffing out of the insert, make that huge mess. Im really glad they corrected the under stuffing issue but it is an over correction for sure March 26, 2013
Do NOT buy these inserts - they are the WORST! What a piece of garbage! I was of excited to order these for my 7-year old boys when they asked for bean bag chairs to sit in while watching movies or playing video games. I mistakenly assumed that, because I was ordering from Land's End, I could trust the quality of the product. I should have heeded the warnings of the other reviewers about the poor quality of the inserts. As soon as they arrived, I pulled one out to inspect it. I tried fluffing it up and my hand went right through the cheap, paper thin lining of the insert! I spent an hour vacuuming up the thousands of minuscule styrofoam beads which exploded all over my living room! And now I have to pay $6.95 to return it?!?!? What a joke! I am highly disappointed, Land's End! November 19, 2012
Love this beanbag! I was a little hesitant to buy this beanbag because of other reviews. I bought two for my older boys several years ago and was very pleased with them. However, the recent reviews talked about how they had changed the design and the quality was not as good. I ordered anyway because of Land's End's reputation for quality. I was not disappointed. The quality of the cover was just as good as my other ones and the insert, although very full didn't take long to settle and take shape. Very good product! January 7, 2012
Does not hold shape - completely useless & waste of money I really wanted to like these, but they are horrible. I bought these for my children for Christmas 2010. THe inserts then were shaped like a bean and had a nice shape. After only one month my son's insert got a hole in it. Lands End promptly replaced it, but in the meantime they had changed suppliers and the new insert is shaped just like a square dog bed (I'm still not certain that they didn't actually send me a dog bed). This new insert makes the chair completely worthless. LE told me that we have to "shape" the chair before sitting in it each time - my 7 year old should not need an engineering degree to sit in his chair! After almost a year both chairs (the dog bed & the original bean insert) have lost all shape and are completely flat. My children lay on their chairs instead of sitting in them now. They are completely useless and now I have to replace to very expensive chairs less than a year later. Very disappointed LE! November 3, 2011
Poor quality inserts, not at all like the old ones. I purchased an insert and cute pink cover for my daughter for Christmas 2010. The insert and cover was great quality, just the same as when I purchased for my son in 08. However I ordered another one a few months later, and what I received was nothing like the original. The bag was not even full of beans or shaped like the cover as the originals were. I actually thought I received the wrong item. I would not order the "new" insert, it is not the same material like the original and the quality is very disappointing! Lands End, please go back to the original style and quality product like you had in the past. September 16, 2011
Not like the old ones :( I ordered 2 of these for my nieces in 2009 for xmas. They loved them and so did I. So I bought them for my 2 boys for xmas 2010. I just ordered my nephew one in May 2011 for his birthday, and boy was I disappointed! I thought they sent me the complete wrong item, that's how different it was (and not in a good way!) I will be looking elsewhere for an insert for the bean bag cover they sent me. While the cover is the same great quality, the insert is a pathetic excuse for the old version. Cheap, cheap, CHEAP. Very disappointed in Land's End :( June 6, 2011
Inserts poor quality These are not the inserts that LE previously sold. These super-cheap inserts (worth maybe $3, not $70) are made of a paper cover like the disposable hospital hair caps (previously they were fabric) in a big square (previously formed the same as the cover) with recycled polystyrene (read: shredded styrofoam "popcorn") that is NOT comfortable. Do NOT buy the inserts until LE reverts to the previous style, which hopefully they'll do soon given the number of complaints. April 21, 2011
Disappointed - not what was pictured When I purchased the insert, the picture showed a white bean bag shaped like a chair, not a square zippered bag of styrofoam beads. Also, the fabric is not durable on the insert; it is a paper-like pressed polyester material that tears easily. Totally not worth the price! Sad, because the covers made by Land's End are amazing quality! April 3, 2011
The jr bean bag didn't have enough beans. I bought the regular bean bag for my 11 year old daughter and it is great. My two boys, 8 and 4, loved it so much I order them the smaller jr bags thinking that they would be the same quality. The price difference in the bags themselves wasn't that much, but the quality of the insert varied greatly. The regular bean bag insert had a soft cotton cover with smaller beads, while the jr inserts were square shaped and a more mesh fabric with larger beads. They definately weren't as comfy. Each bag could use another whole insert to fill it but for the price I will look elsewhere. The covers are a great quality and I like the size of the jr bags so I am on a quest for refill beads. Junior bean bag Inserts are no longer a quality product I ordered a junior bean bag and insert in December 2010, and was pleased with both products until I noticed that an unfinished seam on the insert was allowing beans to escape. Lands' End quickly sent a replacement, but unfortunately, the type of insert now offered by the company has changed. The original insert was made of durable fabric, shaped like the cover itself, and filled with high quality individual "beans." The new inserts are a 5' by 5' square "pillow" shape, made of a thin, paper-like substance. Even worse, the "beans" are clumps of what feels like a crushed styrofoam cooler. The shape of the new insert is incompatible with the shape of the cover, and I only succeeded in suffing it in with the help of my eleven year old. Once it was inserted, the cover barely zipped. The result was a completely overfilled bag, unsuitable for actual sitting. Removing some of the clumpy filling was not an option, as the zipper on the insert was glued shut. Left with no choice, I returned the insert, and will have to look elsewhere for a replacement. On the whole, a very disappointing experience. March 22, 2011
