Girls' Woven Tiered Skirt 3.5 5 4 4
Love this skirt! After reading the reviews, I decided to size down for my very small girls. I ordered an 8 for my 10 year old and a 5 for my 6 year old. They fit absolutely perfect! I'm sure the next size up wouldn't have been really huge though since they are 100% cotton, I bet they will shrink some when dried. I'm thinking I won't dry mine because if they do shrink, they'll be tighter than I'd like. The material is really thick, and stiff enough to hold its shape, yet comfortable. My daughter tried it on immediately and won't take it off! I ordered all 3 colors and I couldn't be more pleased! What a steal the clearance price is for these adorable holiday skirts!!!! Cute skirt, perfect with tights for cold weather wear. I like the skirt and was pleased to find an actual skirt, not a skort, which I prefer for daughters' cold weather wear. I agree with the other reviewer that skorts are preferable as "wear-alone" garments when bare legs are an option. I would not bother with a skirt for warmer weather as we would have to put shorts underneath it. However, once the weather gets too cold to have bare legs, my daughter either needs tights or leggings to keep her warm. Skorts plus tights or leggings is a real challenge for an eight year old to manage independently. Mine will simply refuse to wear anything so cumbersome. So for warm weather, the skorts are my top pick. But for cold weather, bring on more skirts please. (Note: For this exact reason, I am passing on a number of garments I would otherwise have been delighted to buy if they could have been readily paired with leggings or tights.) October 16, 2012
IT LOOKS GREAT, but i don't like ironing! I personally don't like to iron. I found that this skirt, once I took it out of the bag, looked like it definitely would need ironing. I also didn't like that it wasn't a skort (skirt with shorts built into to it). I personally would recommend the lands end skorts over this pick. I returned mine immediately. If you don't mind ironing and are not looking for the skorts, this would be one for you. It is a stiffer material then some of the skorts too. It might be great to just wash and throw a few minutes in the dryer on low, but I didn't want to take the chance. October 2, 2012
Love the fit. My daughter picked out this skirt. She loves the fit and I love that the length meets school requirements. The fabric was thicker than I thought it would be, but will be good for summer and winter use(with leggings). August 29, 2012
