Love this Skirt!
After tons of time searching the stores for a decent bathing suit for my blossoming daughter, I finally went online to Lands End. We both love this skirt! The fabric is a wonderful quality and I'm sure it will hold up all summer. She has been wearing a 16 and I actually ordered this in a 16 and had to send it back and get a 14. It runs a little big but has an adjustable waist. The price was amazing for what you get and this skirt made may daughter feel good about going swimming with her friends! It is very modest but also really trendy looking!

Fantastic skirt!!!
I ordered the 10 for my 9 year old, and it is absolutely perfect! The skirt is the perfect length and size!
We love it! Not sure what the other reviews mean about inside out because ours looks normal. We ordered the purple polka dot skirt, and the colors are fantastic!

Inside Out & Huge! (But Cute!)
Very mixed feelings about this swim skirt. I am saying "recommend" because it seems like a quality skirt, and you have the Lands' End name to back it up. It is very cute. When we tighten the elastic waist almost to it's limits to try to get it to stay up on my girls, then the skirt's look is rather odd with all the gathering it takes. So, this runs really large. My daughter, who wears size 10/12 and is slim, can fit into my younger daughter's size 7. I may reorder the size 8 for her and go down to the 6 for my youngest.
The whole idea is brilliant! The swim skirt material, the color, the style - BUT I can't get past the inside panty being inside out. As the previous reviewers wrote, the elastic bindings on the leg openings are sewn in such a way that if the skirt is lifted up while the child is wearing the item, then you can see the rough edges, threads, cut fabric, a mix of white elastic and purple/pink fabric, etc. just like it looks inside out. You can see both in the photo - the outside of the panty and the inside finished seam. While it may have been done for comfort, it looks terrible. If you look at the skirt when the child is not wearing it, the inside panty has a great finish to it. Very odd! We are disappointed. Needed these for our trip this Saturday, but won't have enough time to reorder and received items. Just plan ahead or order multiple sizes the first time! If you can purchase this item at a good sale price, it may be worth it.

Inside Out?
The shorts (or panty) part of the skort have the stitching on the outside - so it looks inside out!! Not what I expected and not on any of the swim mini's or women's swim skorts that I have purchased from Lands End in the past. The skort also fits big but the waist is adjustable.

Inside out...for comfort
The swim panty has the unfinished stitching on the outside. It looks horrible. I can only hope that it is not a new way of doing things but the customer service response I received stated it was likely done for comfort?

Best New Style of the Summer!
Although we have bought the swim mini every summer, this new styling option was intriguing enough for my tween daughter to try it. She loves it! The fit is great, coverage and sun protection are full. She will be able to walk to and from the beach without the need for any other cover up. It will be perfect for sea school where they are in and out of the water all day but never long enough to change into shorts and tees. This is a new favorite bottom - she says it is more grown up and less babyish. (Good thing because the swim mini this year is awful fit and quality.) We have already purchased a second woven swim skirt!
