Fit & Size Information

Girls' Tretorn Nylite Shoes 3.6 5 29 29
I returned these shoes as they indeed were very narrow. The heel is low and my granddaughter said they were tight because they fit narrow feet. She has a narrow foot, but did not like the feel. If I went to a larger - longer- size it may have fit better, but I was not inclined to try a bigger size. September 1, 2012
Disappointing I never got to wear these in H.S. and was looking forward to my first pair. I have a small foot and can wear kids size 3, so when I saw these with the plaid stripe I had to give them a try. Too bad, they were pooly made and not the quality I expected from Lands End or Tretorn. The glue holding the rubber toes to the canvas was visible, the canvas was discolored, and the fit was too short in length (though the width was fine). Better luck next time! April 29, 2012
Great classic sneaker! These sneakers have always been a smart, classic look. I was very pleased to find them at Land's End. The first pair we ordered were too small; not a product issue but a poor judgement issue (measure the foot before you order. ) It was easy to return and reorder from the local Sears store (with free shipping). I have always liked the look of this sneaker and will continue to order them as my daughters grow. These will be great for the summer to wear without socks. February 19, 2012
NOT LIKE THEY USED TO BE Sorry L.E., we all grew up with these, but these new ones are not cut high enough on the heels. Both girls tried them on with and without socks, but still the problem persisted. They needed to be higher up-- to "hug/cradle" the heel. Everything else about them was very nice. Just reconstruct the heel a bit. We'll look forward to the new ones! September 22, 2011
The shoe is getting dirty really easily and hard to wash of the dirt on it but the inside is really comfortable. It fits ok but I hope the shoe is leather instead of what fabric is now because it is hard to wash and dry off. September 17, 2011
Wish they came in half sizes I was excited to get these for my daughter since I used to wear them. After reading the reviews I decided to order a size up (she wears a 4, I ordered a 5). They were too big for my daughter. I wish they came in a half size, the 4.5 would have been perfect. I'm going to keep them and wait until she grows into them. She has a narrow foot and said besides being a little long they fit her well. September 3, 2011
They're back! I wear a women's size 5, so I ordered these in a girls' size 5, but they were a little big. The width felt good, although I was worried with the reviews I read. I can wear them without socks, and they're still comfortable. I love the look; you can wear them with almost everything! June 21, 2011
Aaahhh, Tretorn....just like old times!!! I wore these during high school in the 80's and I love them as much now as I did then!! The womens' version of this shoe is a pale imitation of the original Tretorn, but the girls' version is true to the original material and design. I normally wear a women's size 6 1/2 or 7 (depending on the shoe style/designer) and can wear the girls' size 6 for the Tretorn - thank goodness!!! I bought 2 of each so I already have my spare pairs ready when the first pairs wear out : ) Thank you Lands' End for taking me back to my teenage years!!! June 11, 2011
Sizing is way off I ordered a 5 from another site and they were huge so I ordered a size 4 from LE. My daughter's toes are almost to the front of the shoe. Since LE does not offer half sizes in these which other sites do, I will have to order from yet another site. I really wish sites would provide accurate sizing info from the shoe manufacturer. Classic style and comfort I wore Tretorn court shoes in the 80's and now my 4-year old has her first pair. They look great with everything, from dresses to shorts. They fit well. So often, shoes are too large in the heel for little girls, but these fit perfectly. I love the nod to preppier times. My daughter likes them too! May 16, 2011
