good all-purpose shoes
These are my daughter's new favorites. She likes the way they look, and she says they are comfortable. I like the fact that they seem sturdy and have a 'roomy' fit. The elastic laces are a little thicker than on similar shoes we have bought from Lands End, and hey are a little heavier than the sport water shoes we ordered at the same time, but I think that's because they were meant for more heavy duty. We will probably buy another pair before the end of the season, in order to have a pair for next year.

Working out great!
I was wondering how these shoes would work out for my 5 yr old - so far it's been holding up. She's not rough on her shoes but I recently was having issues with the quality/durability of some other brands - pleasantly surprised with these. Hoping they will last through until fall, and then go a second round with her sister!

Love it, but...
I ordered these shoes for my 3 and 5 year old girls. They are super durable, great colors, wonderfully supportive, and (given that they never complain about their feet while wearing them) quite comfy. I really want to give these a wholehearted endorsement for those reasons. However, every time I need to help my children wedge their feet into these shoes, I ask myself, "Why, OH WHY, don't these have a back loop?!?" The Trekker sandals have a back loop. These don't, despite their otherwise awesome rubber-coated rim (for keeping playground gunk out). This makes these shoes frustratingly difficult for Mom to get on little feet, not to mention how hard it is for the little ones.
So, my two cents- keep the shoes, keep the colors, ADD a back loop!

A+!
Several years ago I bought a pair of treckers for my oldest daughter. Between the two of my girls, the shoes survived two years of kindergarten, a few summers, and about half a year of first grade until they wore out. They are comfy and practical; my girls wear them three seasons of the year, as they can be worn with or without socks. The two pairs I just bought for them look to be the same quality as the previous ones. Shoes that my girls like to wear, and that are tough enough to be handed down are worth every penny!

Very pleased!
We searched all over for a good sneaker with a good arch and laces that tighten for good support. They fiit well and are comfortable with no pressure spots. They are easy on/off and well ventillated for keeping feet cooler in summer.

Fits big
Not having luck with shoes...could just be my daughter's feet. Seems like shoes lately are longer, larger size and narrow. Narrow is fine for my daughter as she has narrow feet....but I think it is a bigger size than average.

Great shoe for active kids
I love this shoe! My daughters spend a lot of outdoor time at their preschool so we are always looking for a rugged, durable, yet comfortable outdoor shoe. These shoes are very well made, with strong seams and a solid sole. But they are also lightweight and flexible - I was worried they would be a bit "clunky" or heavy but they are totally not-good balance of comfort and durability. They fit my daughter like a glove (I think they are good for skinny feet) since they have some stretch in all the right places.

Great shoes
I have a pair of these shoes from last season, only in a "boy color" because the girls trekker did not work for us. I am very happy to see this style with girls colors this year, and even happier to see Lands End listened to the MANY reviews asking for the same shoes as the boys, only in more feminine colors. I will be ordering another pair this year for my 5 yr old. They are perfect for the playground, creek, hiking, anything, and they are comfortable without socks. They are much better than sandals for these things because they keep bark chips, pebbles, dirt and thorns/stickers off the feet and out of the shoes.
