Girls' Solid Smart Swim Tankini Bottom 2.6 5 18 18
way too skimpy in the crotch I rated this an "average" fit because it was actually too big, but the crotch area was way too narrow. There's definitely not enough material to cover that area. My daughter is big for her age, and friends referred me to Land's End because I have trouble finding suits that cover her rear. It does have plenty of room in the rear (so I gave it a "fair" rating because of that), but why the narrow crotch? I've never had a problem with that, even with cheap suits. April 30, 2013
Front way to narrow! Just returned this bottom. The front area needs to be at least another inch wider to cover any little girl! We have been buying our bathing suits yearly from Lands End and have seen the coverage get less and less each year. This is the worst ever. Just ordered the swim mini will see if the skirt provides enough coverage. April 29, 2013
cute bottom I like this bottom, it is a bit narrow in the crotch area, but everything is covered. My daughter is 55 inches tall and 60 pds and the 10 slim bottom fit perfect. She also loves the fuschia color. April 27, 2013
Crotch too narrow This is exactly the problem with last year bottoms. Not enough material to cover. Are reviews read by Lands End? Cute look but disappointing fit. April 17, 2013
Great Girls Swim Bottom I was really worried about ordering this swim bottom after reading the reviews. I ordered 3 different sizes for this same reason. In the end, she fits in the bottoms that are same size she is wearing in pants currently. This swim bottom is very similar to the Hanes brief underwear she likes. Good coverage and no weggies. I have a very slim girl and these fit her perfectly so I'm thinking they could be snug for a more muscular build. I'm really pleased. April 15, 2013
Great fit Fit is true to size. No problems. April 13, 2013
tankini bottem perfect fit. my daughter is tall and thin, and this fits without the sagging. not too high cut; modest in a good way. we both love it. April 13, 2013
WAY Too Narrow in the Crotch! :( Must send back! First of all, I must say that Lands End is my "go to" place for modest bathing suits for my daughter. We purchased two suits last year and loved them. So, of course, it was the first and only placed I looked this year. HOWEVER, I have no idea what went wrong in the design of these bottoms, but they are not cut proportionally. Initially I was thrilled with them. They looked great in the front and the back. Remembering what the other reviewers wrote though, I asked her sit and act like she was playing in the water. At least 50% of her crotch was easily visible when she moved to sit in the floor! WHAT!?!? Asking her to act like she was getting on a water ride made it worse! I had her try on the second pair hoping they would be cut better (long shot since they are identical, just different colors) and it was the same story. There is NO WAY a child could wear these and expect to have any fun in the water. As long as they are standing, it looks just fine. But with the slightest movement, everything that is supposed to be 'private', is anything but private. Very sad to say, we simply cannot keep them. Lands End, you need to improve these immediately. Something is VERY wrong in their design! April 11, 2013
CUT TOO SMALL I read the negative reviews on these bottoms but have purchased Lands End swim wear for years and thought they must be wrong. Well, they were not. These bottoms are entirely too small in between the legs and then angle up making these bottoms very skimpy. I saw where the company commented that they compared them to last years and there was not less fabric and I must say- they are wrong. I do not know why they would make such a statement that it just plain wrong. April 7, 2013
Not enough coverage I posted a review previously, but it was not published....... There is not enough fabric in the crotch of this swim bottom as previous reviewers mentioned. When compared to last year's bottom, this one is much too narrow between the legs. I purchased two suits in a size 5 and they have less fabric overall then the 4t from last year. All going back. Very disappointed as I have bought suits from you for the past three years. This year we will have to go elsewhere. April 2, 2013
