great suit, but with a flaw that was a dealbreaker
I love Lands Ends kids' bathing suits but have trouble with them the last few years and this one was no exception. The suit fit great, was very cute and modest.. except for the private area... the crotch part of the suit was much too narrow... so though my daughter and I both really liked it otherwise we had to return it.. This is the 3rd Lands End girls' suit we have tried this summer... We will have to go with a different brand. I hope they change the way girls' bottoms are cut!

girl's crossover one piece swim suit satifies
My 6-year-old likes the comfort and the looks of this swim suit. She uses it for swim practice so we didn't want something with strings. I would have liked the color to be as bright as online. In person, the pink and orange are a little more muted.

Super Suit
Bought this for my daughter who is a small 6 year old she will be 7 at the end of August. The suit was slightly big on her but not to the point that it was gape-ping. Good weight to the material and lined makes this a good quality suit and will last well. The purple dots are metallic so it shines. My daughter loves it!

very cute, great fit
My daughter is a plus size, and it fits her perfectly. I am always looking for a swimsuit that has good coverage, and is good quality. I found it in this swimsuit! The colors are cute, and the backside doesn't slide up when she swims...great buy!

Itchy
My daughter should have been a 7 slim according to the measurements online but she really needed a 7 regular. There are a lot of seams inside the suit and she complains that it's itchy, so I would not recommend this if your child likes her clothes on the soft side. Also, the colors are not lined up as perfectly as they are in the picture.

Wonderful swimsuit
This is a great and modest swimsuit for an active girl. The cross-straps keep her covered. The colors are fun and bright, and the suit is high quality.

Great quality
I had a hard time finding a cute swimsuit for my daughter. She is taking a one-hour swim lesson every week and I wanted something that would hold well, stay put, with a good coverage, and comfortable to swim in. I like the simple cut of this swimsuit, a nice change from the "over-the-top" and "not-so-practical" swimsuits other popular brands carry. This swimsuit fits the bill! I purchased it in the bright iris dot color and was happily surprised to find out that some of the purple dots are shimmery which she loved! The color is beautiful!
Based on other reviews, I ordered it in size 7 for my daughter who just turned 6. She is average in size and weight, and it fits great. I would definitely recommend this product.

improved coverage in chest area
As others have reviewed, this suit does fit smaller than the size listed. We have exchanged it for a larger size. That being said, the suit as usual for LE suits has full lining, but this year they have added a thicker more robust lining in the chest area! My water loving, developing tween is hard to fit - basic girls swim suits are too thin for decent chest coverage and she is not near ready for a junior's styling suit. This suit offers the perfect thickness of material in the right place for our needs, the straps are thick so they don't dig into shoulders, and the suit doesn't dip or sag where it shouldn't.

Small, but nice suit
Cute suit, but like other reviews state, it runs small. My daughter is 75 lbs, 4'6" and the size 12 was too tight. Size 14 is good everywhere, except straps are too long. I need to shorten them 3". Otherwise, great material -- substantial. Nice bright colors too.
