This is the skirt my daughter is required to wear in white plaid, now that she's in middle school. My other daughter wears the same thing in the LE jumper. Each item is not as comfortable as some LE products, but that I can understand as it is uniform. Nevertheless, it is very distinguished-looking. We're so glad the school chose these skirts because of the adorable detailing: the tabs, buttons, and side pleats seem to complete an otherwise bland skirt. The girls play rough at school; they may fall in onto the wood chips or grass of the field into hard mud. Still, these uniform outfits are durable.
One problem was that the skirt was too large on my daughter when it arrived from online shipping. Of course, she's never been a skirt-wearer for one reason: they're always too wide on her. So what were we expecting? We had to return this and order a smaller size, which fit fine in the waist, although it was shorter than it probably should have been.
Thus I would rate this "Good," but not "Excellent," as so many of the other LE products are...that is, they excel all other quality standards. That is what we have come to know and trust with LE. Quality, if nothing else.

Great skort
My 11 year old daughter ordered the 12 slim and it fits perfectly. She loves the look and the built in shorts. These wash really nicely as well!

Cute skort, perfect length
My daughter wanted this plaid skort in Classic Navy Plaid for her school uniform. It is really cute. The pocket flaps on the side are stylish but are not actual cargo pockets, which violates the uniform code. The skirt is very well made. We ordered in a 14+. My daughter's normal inseam is 26" and it hits just skimming the top of the knee. This skort is such a nice change from the endless blue and khaki bottoms. The skirt has a zipper only in the back, all the way up the waistband. There are adjustable tabs inside. The knit shorts underneath are long enough to be modest but high enough under the skort not to show. Overall, extremely well pleased with this item and we'll be ordering another one for school next year.

Cute and Fits Well
I ordered this for my daughter for school, and it fits true to size and is very cute on. My daughter is very comfortable and loves the freedom of the knit built-in shorts. It isn't too long or too short.

Cute skort but not as described
My daughter had this same skort in a size 6 and the cut, fit and design was much better. I ordered a size 7 this time around and it has a zipper in the back and no elastic in the back as described. Also the length is too long. Skorts are supposted to be short... hence the built in shorts. This skort hits her below the knee... sort of defeats the purpose of ordering a skort! We are returning it.

This skort wasn't a skort at all. It's a very narrow skirt that my daughter cannot run or play in at school break.
Disappointing that there were no shorts underneath...isn't that what a skort is...? It is also too narrow, so that the wearer cannot move freely in the garment.
I could not return as the "skort " that I ordered was needed for school and we live outside the US . It is the correct pattern for the school , but I would like to get the skort that I ordered and paid for !
