Fabric is thin and faded in spots after one wash
I love this dress and the way it looked on my girls, but the fabric is much thinner than the Lands End dresses we purchased last year (which held up great) and the fabric faded in several spots after the first wash. It's such a shame because we love Lands End dresses. I hope they choose a sturdier fabric next time.

Great dress
Light weight cotton. I hang dry so the hem doesn't roll. Easy summer dress. Can be dressed up with accessories but also looks good with canvas sneakers and biker shorts so playground friendly.

The 'girly' factor, with modesty
My (step) daughter is a girly-girl, loves being creative, and also likes to learn her dance lessons and play soccer. She is 6 & taller/athletic, bought the 7. When we got this dress I worried it was too old-fashined; it is very plain, VERY conservatively cut, and generous in size. But once she tried it on, she wanted to wear it for the rest of the day; there is just something about the softness of the fabric, the cute little pockets, and the long, twirly skirt length that big-little girls love. Watching her prance and play in it, I knew it was a new favorite. She now loves her 'play dresses'. Glad I also got it in the 'deep space' print (navy with butterflies)!
