Sizing is WAY off!
We ordered this same swim mini and matching short-sleeve rash guard in the green polka dots last year. My daughter really liked the suit and so I ordered the next size up for this year. WOW! The size 7 in the swim mini wouldn't even cover my daughter's bottom! It was too tight in the hips, too. (And this is the next size up for her!) The size S 7-8 in the polka dot short-sleeve rash guard is perfect, so I'm not sure what happened with Lands' End and their sizing for this particular swim mini. I'm definitely sending it back.

Size not comparable to one piece suits
I ordered a size 8 one piece suit for my 5 year old and it was huge...too big to even take in. We decided to keep it because sending it back would have cost nearly what we paid for it. Soooo...decided to try the 2 piece route and ordered the swim mini bottom in a 7. It was so tight, short and small that barely covered her bottom. It is adorable and looks great with the tankini but we are very disappointed in vast differences in the same sizes from the same company. We will order the next size up and hope it works out.

Fantastic fit
We bought this at the end of last season or about there for our super skinny 5 year old. We bought a 6 and it is a wonderful fit, exactly the right covering. We are still wearing it now, and have been throught the last 8 monght for swim lessons and vacations without any issues. Going to get a 2nd one as well I think.

So small...impossible to find a correct size.
At the end of last summer, I estimated that a 7 would fit my daughter this summer. She is almost 4 years old and very tall and skinny. Her pants/shorts/etc are size 6. This size 7 doesn't come close to covering her bottom. The sizes on these are so off, I can't imagine you could possibly hope to find a correct size for your child.

Fits small!
Love the skirt...but it's a good thing my kid is slight! Ordered a 7 regular, even though she usually wears a slim...thank goodness I did! It's cut about 3 sizes too small. Definitely order up at least 2 sizes, if not more. Good thing we have a younger daughter we could give this to...otherwise I would have been returning it.
