Great, cute boot!
The boots are durable and warm. Minnesota winters can be harsh from snowy to freezing cold to slushy and these have done a nice job of keeping the cold and even the deepest snow and slush out although an extra eyelet on the top would have been better. I was reluctant to purchase these boots for my 6 year old due to the lacing, but she has managed pretty well with them. These can be a bit difficult to get on the foot and may require untying and loosening them up and then tightening and tying again. This can be problematic if they are worn at school since speed is of the essence when getting out for recess.

Very nice quality boots! Eye catching color & style, great traction and warmth. I found these boots to run half size smaller than normal. Judging from previous reviews I knew to purchase the next size up. Any time you have difficulty putting on a boot, you certainly need the next size. We chose to lace them loosely but tie tightly so our pre-schooler can simply slip them on or off unassisted (especially when worn to school). Upstate NY gets our share of inclimate weather, so she slips her snow pants into the boots and away she goes!!! No complaints from her to me and thus no complaints from me to landsend.com

Comfy, warm boot but not waterproof
My 10 year old loved these boots when she first started wearing them. They kept her feet warm and were performing well for our Canadian winter. Unfortunatly with the wet/slushy weather the boots are no longer keeping any water out. I have had to go buy another pair of winter boots.

almost perfect
Bought these in blue for my 8yo. Was reluctant to try since we have had success with the Snow Flurry style in the past, but she wanted something "fancier". The boots are warm and do a decent job of keeping her feet warm and dry. My only complaint is that they don't tie high enough. There really should be one more pair of eyelets on the shaft to allow her to cinch them up better around her leg. As it is, there are several inches at the top of the boot that just kind "pooch out" and catch the snow. You cannot tie them snugly all the way to the top. Not a big enough problem to return them, but unless LE fixes that I probably wouldn't buy again next year.

Hard to Get On
Cute, Warm and Waterproof...but hard to get on and off and they cannot be tightened enough at the top. My 8 year old daughter loved them for a week and now refuses to wear them.

Great boots, so comfy!
My daughter (age 9) loves these boots! Every time she wears them, she says that her feet are warm and dry, even after being out in the snow for an hour! She loves the furry trim and lining. The tongue is attached on the sides to keep her dry all the way up. The treads are great and she loves the off-white color, which goes with everything. The only change we would make with these boots is a darker piece covering the toe. The toes get dirty first and with the white boots, that is very noticeable.

Beautiful purple color
Bought these for my 6 year old grandaughter and she loves them. Very warm and keeps her feet totally dry. I do have to help with with all the ties but that is a small thing, they go on easily and are very comfortable. If she had to she could really manage the ties by herself.

Beautiful and warm
I purchased this boots for my daughters (I got them different colors, pink and purple). The boots are very soft, lightweight and very warm. In the inside the boots are covered with some inner layer (fleece maybe) to keep the feet warm. Easy to lace. Beautiful in style. Waterproof. Very chic!

Gave these in blue to my daughter for Christmas; she wore them nonstop that day & they have been cozy & dry in the snow since then.

Grand-niece loves them!
Christmas gift: She pulled one on and exclaimed, "they're perfect," and kept them on (indoors) until her feet got too warm. When it was time to leave, she put them on again.
