Great skirt, but hard to unbutton
We previously bought the women's navy plaid pleated skirt for me and the navy plaid jumper for my daughter, but when I saw the sale on slim size skirts, I had to get one for her. It fits just as I expected based on the size chart (excellent), the pleats and fabric are very nice, and it looks great (as done mine) after a wash. She's really pleased to have a skirt which is a twin to mom's.
However, the button on the side closure is small and a very tight fit in the buttonhole (size 8 slim). She can't unbutton it at all, and it's a little tough even for me. I hope this becomes easier over time, but on my own skirt that was never an issue. Otherwise this is a really, really great skirt, which I expect will wear as well and beautifully as my own has over the past year.

great skirt
This is a great skirt, that fits exactly the way the size chart says. My daughter likes a skirt to come to the knee, so I was glad to find it in the slim size. I just found her waist size in the slim chart, and ordered her that size - it fits great. And she will be able to grow a little before it gets too short. She loves this skirt.

Very cute
I got this in the classic navy/evergreen (which I absolutely love). I'm 34 (I bought this before I noticed it came in women's sizes, too) and I ordered this for work and going out on the weekends. I had it hemmed. I'm 5'6", size 8 in ladies, I ordered a size 16 girl's. I wanted it 3 inches or so above my knee. Out of the bag it fit right at the knee. It looks great with a navy sweater. I bought the drifter vest and wear it with a long-sleeve button-up shirt. It looks great with or without the shirttail showing. It washed without wrinkles, but even after only one washing (according to the directions), the pleats aren't as crisp. But here's what I've done. While it's still fresh from the dryer, I put tape around the hem (like it originally came) to hold the pleats in place and I hung it up upside down, with hanger clips holding it at the hem. This worked to keep the pleats quite well. Not 100% crisp like the skirt arrived, but good enough for me. I only gave it 4 stars because of the pleat thing and that the fabric is slightly thinner than I would have thought. Though I suppose it's the light weight that makes it move/swing nicely.
