Fit & Size Information

Girls' Northwest Passage Waterproof Down Parka 4 5 21 21
Very Comfy and Warm! I bought this coat for my 6 yr old in size 6x. It seems to fit true to size. My daughter says: she really likes this coat because it keeps her very warm and she loves the built in gloves with thumb holes and all the pockets (we counted 9!). She also loves it in in the color chartreuse. February 8, 2013
The zipper can't be pulled all the way up without feeling choked. My daughter was so excited about this coat when we first got it. However, when we got a spell of very cold weather this week in NJ and I tried to zip the jacket up all the way and put the hood on, I found I couldn't without her feeling choked. There's simply not enough room around the collar - this jacket really needs a storm collar since it's made for cold weather. Since she couldn't zip up, the hood would not stay on when she walked. She was very cold and frustrated and agreed the jacket needed to be returned even though she loved loved it initially. We bought a size 7-8 and she's an average size 7 year old. January 25, 2013
Nice Coat A very nice coat. Got the purple and it looks great with the green lining. All was good but the waist area was a little big. I would have liked the option of having an adjustable elastic waist inside. The outside two button adjustment was not sufficient. Overall, it is definitely a quality made coat. My daughter loves her new coat. January 21, 2013
Great Quality Great Quality and very warm. January 5, 2013
Need more colors Why no red for girls? Great coat but shame we cannot have some colors that both boys and girls can have? January 5, 2013
This jacket is very stylish and warm. My daughter loves this jacket. It is very warm without being bulky. The color is fantastic! December 24, 2012
Great Coat The girls love their new coats. It has good length for coverage, great style and comfort and it is warm. December 23, 2012
Gorgeous coat, beautifully made My daughter is not easy to please, but she and I are both excited about this coat. Very sharp-looking and yet so practical. Very nice fabric inside and out; this coat will clearly stand up to some wear. Details, details! Elastic at rear waist nips in the line for a nicer silhouette without sacrificing the roomy feel. Snaps further adjust the waist. The lining is plush and cozy, but the sleeve lining is nice and slippery for sliding shirt and sweater sleeves through. Lots of pockets, including the nice one inside for mittens or a hat. Love the grow-along sleeves, especially since my daughter is quite petite. We did not want to order a larger size that she would swim in, but I felt like the sleeves might get short rather quickly. Enter the grow-alongs--problem solved! We'll just let them out. The thumb hole on the inner sleeve is a nice bonus, too. The faux-fur trim on hood is feminine and flattering in how it frames the face. The tab at the back of the hood allows you to adjust how much the hood drops over the face. My daughter just loves this coat, and that is saying something! Thanks, LandsEnd, home run! Warm, cosy and beautiful We've got everything we have expected from this coat! Amazing quality, awesome design, and a most important criteria - warmth. My daughter wears it at much colder temperature, than -10F. Just one note - if to compare the Lands' End's girls' jacket with the one for boys - the boys' are warmer and heavier. I worried, if my girl would get cold in our very cold climate, but in combination with a fleece jacket Land's End coat did its job! December 19, 2012
no improvement from last year Last years model was much better. Feminine fit, inside drawstring, and down seemed fullert throughout. This years model was like a tent, and would not have kept the wind out. Loved the new lining though, very warm and Cody. If lands end could combine those two element, last years model with new lining, that would be the perfect coat. December 9, 2012
