Excellent!!!
I totally agree with the previous review - they run a size big, which is ok if you plan to wear them with the wool socks. My 12 y.o daughter has the same shoe size as me 7.5 US (38EU or 5.5UK), we even print the sizing chart from LE - we should be size 7 according to it. But based on my previous experience with LE, I ordered two sizes 6 & 7. We keep size 6. The shoes are great, the sole lining is soft and stays in. They are not heavy lined, not a winter boots, but perfect for local NC fall-winter-spring seasons. Easy on, easy to clean and look great (we got navy color). Grab them while on sale.

Recommended BUT...check the size
My 10 year old daughter now wears the same size shoe as I do, a US women's size 7. However, when received this boot for her, the shoe was huge! The reason? For some reason Lands End is now listing a women's/big girls size 7 as the same size as a UK 6 or European 39. (I have lived in London and Europe for 5 of the last 8 years so I positively know that a US 7 is a UK 5 and and EU 37.5) This shoe was an inch longer than my foot; my daughter used my boots and I wore two pairs of socks to make these boots work on a trip to Prague.
However, they are very warm, kept my, and not my daughter's, feet very dry. There is no arch support, so you might consider adding an insole if you plan to do a lot of walking in these shoes. If you know your child's feet will grow for several years, the size difference won't make much of an issue for you, but if you need these immediately, you should order a size down.

Beautiful, but big
These boots are solidly made and beautiful. Very colorful and shiny, soft inside. They do, however, run really big. My daughter usually wears a 3 and a half, but we went with the 3 instead of the 4 because of the reviews that said they run big. The 3 was huge. Sending them back and ordering a 2.

These are a perfect color and fit for my girls. We ordered them in purple and pink.
My eight and five year old girls LOVE these rain boots. They are great for everyday wearing as well.

Way too big
We used the online foot size measurement guide and the shoe we received was way too big. The shoe looks like it would be a great rain boot, but we had to return it.

Buy these shoes for your little kids!
These are the PERFECT kids' shoe for wet winters in Oregon! I bought them for my twin girls in kindergarten and they are absolutely adorable, bright and colorful, easy to clean, and keeps their feet dry and warm. Do not delay and buy these! I bought them on sale and what a deal! The size runs true to size, if you are unsure, order two sizes and return one to Sears in store, easy.

Not just for girls!
I wear a size 7 1/2 in womens, and usually size up to an 8 in boots to accomodate thick wool socks. After reading the other reviews, I ordered a size 6. They fit perfect, and I have plenty of room for winter-weight socks. They are slightly narrow across the toes, but they may stretch a little after wearing them. I put in a store-bought orthotic to give a little bit of an arch support. They are really cute boots, not just for girls, but for this 63 year-old too!! I'm looking forward to wearing them, and all the compliments I will be getting.

These almost worked...
My 5-year old measures size 11, but that size was temporarily out of stock. The 12s slipped right off her foot. Otherwise, the boots are adorable and seem functional and well-made.
