Hand wash a children's clothing item?? Who hears of this in this day and age?
I wish I had read the reviews before purchasing as I would have saved you and myself lots of time! All children's clothing are set to be washed again and again, hand washing is a big NO! NO!

Only purchase if you like glitter EVERYWHERE
GLITTER, GLITTER AND MORE GLITTER EVERYWHERE! "Hand washed" in the bathtub (full of glitter) for 5 minutes then placed in the dryer. We had to vacuum out the dryer and the floor was covered in glitter when we removed it from the dryer. The skirt continues to shed glitter everywhere! Horrible purchase!

Worst. Glitter. Ever.
I wish I had read the reviews on the blue version before buying this skirt. The other reviewer for this pink one (unfortunately left just a few days after I ordered) describes the problem perfectly. Very fine glitter everywhere. EVERYWHERE. And all I did was take it out of the package and it immediately went back into the plastic. Also, it's labelled Hand Wash only. Probably b/c you wouldn't want glitter being deposited on all of your other clothes after sending this one through the washing machine the first time. Sorry, this one's going back. I have two young girls and am no stranger to glittery accents on clothes but this is the only piece we've ever had that sheds so horribly.

Only if you hate everyone you'll send your kid to
This skort is adorable, and my daughter begged me to buy it. Unfortunately, I failed to notice that it's hand wash only (!!!) until it arrived at home with a big sticker on the bag indicating such. Ok, that's my mistake. Then I took the skirt out of its bag only to be deluged by glitter. It literally cascades off the skirt any time it moves at all. I took it outside and gave it a vigorous shake, hoping to dislodge the loose glitter. Five minutes later, I had tired arms, a front stoop that looked like Tinkerbell had moved in, and a skirt that's still shedding glitter with the slightest movement. I certainly can't send my daughter to school in this, not without earning the ire of her teacher. And I wouldn't send her to pixie-dust a friend's house, either.
Bottom line, we have a really cute piece and nowhere I'd feel good about letting her wear it.
