Perfect for a young girl with curves
This suit was a perfect fit for my daughter's more curvy body. The style is very modest and covers her chest and bottom very well while also being flattering. We purchased the orange suit in a size 16. The color and print is very cheerful and fun. The front is fully lined and there is even a shelf "bra" for added coverage. My daughter loves they way she looks in it and I do too!

Esther Williams style for modern little girls!
I bought two of these adorable swimsuits for my daughters and they couldn't be more darling! I purchased the blue/teal color. I love the floral detail at the shoulder, and the little frilly skirt is not only modest, but cute. I found that the size 4 I originally bought for my (tallish) 4 year old daughter was a bit tight. I went up to a size 5 and the fit was perfect. We get so many compliments on this suit wherever we go - more than one person has said that the suit reminds them of Esther Williams and the beautiful water ballet costumes from old movies - I agree! The suits are also comfortable for my active daughters and stay in place - no constant riding up, or straps falling off of shoulders. I love these suits and would buy them again and again. Old school style with a modern feel - two thumbs up for Land's End!

Not at all up to Land's End standards
I have been buying my daughter almost exclusively Lands End swimsuits for the last 7 years. The quality always far surpasses anything in a store. So when I opened this bag I was surprised at how flimsy it felt. It is a pretty suit, but when my daughter tried it on, she couldn't wait to take it off. The lining is so thin as well, and when I compared it to the tankini that I ordered (which was what I expected) it looked (lining is usually white, this was tan) and felt completely different. I hope this is not the way Lands End is going with their suits!

Comfortable
My daughter who is very sensitive to clothes finds this comfortable. We tried another suit but the buckles in the back bothered her. Easy to put on and cute on.

LOVE the look and fit!
Wow- my 9 year old and I both love the look and fit of this swimsuit! We got the pinkish coral color and it looks so pretty on her when she's blue with cold, tan, or not. My daughter is average height and slim, and the fit is perfect in length but a little loose. We're used to that. It doesn't gap anywhere it shouldn't and has good coverage.
The only reason I gave it 4 stars, and I don't think it's the fault of the suit, is that she wore it at a beach with super fine sand, and we cannot get all the sand out of the fine weave of the suit. I think the tight weave, which gives the SPF 50 and excellent durability of Lands End suits, is just the right size for the fine grains of this sand. For most kids, since the sand came out of the lining just fine, they'd be fine, but because of extra body surfing in the waves on that day, and a mild rash she associated with the sand in the suit, my extra sensitive girl won't wear the suit again.
I'm so sad, I came back looking for a replacement, but sadly they've sold out in her size. Maybe I'll figure out a way to get it sand free enough for her approval. :(

love, love, love...
We ordered this suit in blossom pink and just received it today. I wanted something special for my 8 year old daughter for an upcoming Mediterranean cruise, and this adorable suit certainly did not disappoint. The color is gorgeous - kind of a watermelon-y pink - the fit and quality are outstanding, and it is just the perfect mix of cute and sophisticated for her age (doesn't look babyish at all). A total winner, all the way around. Thanks Lands End for such a pretty suit!

A skirted suit with nice modest coverage.
The quality and fit are good, I will be curious to see how it stands up to wear and washing. My little girl loves a skirted suit, so I hope that some variations on this style will be offered in a print next year.
