I love the softness and the fit. It is so hard for me, a sixty-five year old woman who is on the small side, to find clothes that fit, especially shorts and pants. The girls size 14 fits very well and they are classic enough not too look too juvenile on a woman my age. I love the softness and the comfort. Thank you Land's End for meeting my need. Too short for school I ordered these for my daughter in XL - she is 5'3" and wears a size 16. They hit her high on the thigh - much too short for school and I don't think they would even be allowed in gym class. They seem like good quality, but the cut is too skimpy, even for athletic shorts. I wish Lands'End offered them in actual sizes insteat of just small, medium, etc. Maybe that would offer better sizing options. My daughter is too narrow in the hips for women's sizes, but I can't send her to school in short shorts. It wold be great if Lands'End offered some longer athletic shorts in uniform colours like navy and gray. March 21, 2012
soft and sturdy with generous pockets My daughter likes how soft these are along with the generous pockets. I like the fact that they are modest yet do not look like she is wearing boy's shorts. She will wear them to play in and for sports practice. A great price for the quality. Considering the drawstring in the waist and the length of the inseam I expect she will be able to get a lot of wear out of these. I would buy more if they came in more colors. February 11, 2012
