Cute coat but color not as expected
Ordered the Large and for a girl who's 5'1 and 108 pounds it was a bit big. I think a medium would have been fine. It has a nice waist built in. My only problem was that the Alpine Forest color looked gray in the pictures but in person it's more of an olive green. I should have known that something with the word "forest" would be greenish colored. Wish the pictures were more accurate though! We had to return it, but it's a really cute coat.

Perfect coat!
This coat arrived today & I am beyond pleased, I ordered the Alpine Forest colour which I love, the fit is perfect & it is so light weight & cozy, I love the fact that the collar can be turned up & buttoned for extra warmth, thanks so much for making it in XL16! It is now my favourite coat when the weather here in Canada turns cold!

SO Cute!
Highly recommend! I bought this for my daughter after not shopping at LE for years. SO glad I came back. We chose the silver and it is super cute. She gets a lot of compliments on this coat . . . several people have stopped us to comment on it/ask where we got it. My daughter is 10 and we got the 10/12. She has plenty of room and may even be able to wear it one more year. Love how it buttons up at the neck to keep out the wind. This coat also features the thumb holes so that snow doesn't go up the sleeves. Warm, functional, AND very cute on her - what more could you ask for? She has had it for several months and has worn it to church/school/playing in the snow and it's holding up great.

Warm and Stylish City or School Jacket
Overall this is a terrific everyday jacket for school and around town. My 9 yr old loves it (we got the silver), and gets many compliments on it. She's plenty warm, even on a 10 F morning like we had today. The collar is puffy and when she flips it up and buttons it she's pretty well protected. The fleece thumb lining is also great. However it doesn't repel snow very well, and isn't good for skiing or more active winter activities. There's no hood, and the wind whistles right up through the bottom. Bought this in a L (14) for my tall daughter who is mostly gangly but has a tummy. It's a bit snug when she's wearing snow bibs, but is great by itself. She loves it, and it'll see her through the winter in style. However, next year I think we'll return to more standard Land's End gear which handles the elements in Maine better than this does. That said, my daughter looks and feels great in this!

Excellent coat for the price!
My daughter who is very thin and always cold, truly needs a down coat to be warm. At 12 and 1/2, she's tough to please...she does not want a puffy, bulky coat, but wants to be fashionable and fit in with her peers. I had a tough time trying to stay within a budget, keep her fashionable (pea coat style is classy and classic), and most importantly, keep her tiny little self warm! The only down fall of the coat is that because she is so thin and petite, the coat has a wider cut and she would like an inside drawstring to cinch up so she could keep warmer and keep the breezes from going up the inside of the coat. She keeps her hands in her pockets and squeezes them around her middle to make it work! She loves the coat, it is warm, and I was able to stay within budget! Thank You!

Perfect coat
I bought this for my 8 yr old daugter in the bright magenta color. It is very cute and the fit is great; I bought a size small and there is still lots of room for her to wear a sweater underneath. It seems to be very warm although we haven't tested in on a really cold day yet (we'll add some extra layers on those days)! Overall it was a great buy - especially at the sale price. Good quality, as always.

stylish, good fit
I had originally bought 2 sizes for my oldest granddaughter to try on. The younger granddaughter loved the jacket so much we decided to keep both sizes. My granddaughters loved their new jackets and wore them to school the first cool day. My little one said the teacher had to tell her to take hers off. I especially llike the thumb catches in the sleeve. The quality from Lands End has always impressed me.

The package was marked extra large (as ordered), but the coat itself was a large and fit very snuggly.
You corrected the problem, but it was a major disappointment on my daughter's birthday. I will probably never order from Land's End again. Too risky.

Great for my little girl
This coat seems to be a little big for my daughter but she is petite and I ordered it a little large (she's in between a 6 and 7-8 and I ordered the 7-8). The shiny silver is fabulous and she wears it almost every day. I wish there was a removable hood but other than that, she loves it!!
